25.01.2022 Mares and foals all out in the big paddock now. Mares thrilled to be out
24.01.2022 Weaned gorgeous little Goldilocks today. I hate weaning, feel so sorry for them. Mares dont need to feed 6 mth old foals :) She is quietest and most sensible filly. I was secretly glad when the foal shows were cancelled as the two big colts had pulled all her mane out. Its hogged. Looks terrible. Its grown back a little bit thx goodness.

21.01.2022 Ll. Miracle, who gave us a run for her money as a foal when she was separated from Mum after birth and had a 0 immunity score, so plasma infusions etc. I have since worked out what happened as it was such a mystery that a mare who is a great mother had a foal and then had no recollection that she has....... after her last foal I had her in with monitor on and watched her like a hawk. After she had the foal (no issues) she cleaned her up, passed the after birth and then laid d...own and had a massive sleep. Such a deep sleep I thought she was dead. For 45mins flat out. Whilst the foal just stayed with her. I woke her up, then an hour later, flat out sleeping again. No problem, just exhausted. So our guess is that Miracle just wondered off with the herd. When Chistabel woke up it was like it hadnt happened, no foal. Luckily it all turned out well, when we put Miracle back with Christabel (after a bit of coaxing and a little bit of growling) she accepted her within a few hours. So now its Miracles turn to have a baby. She s in foal to Arielen Maestro. Cant wait to see what she has. She doesnt do things by halves this pony. After her first service she fainted!!!! Never seen it before..... we didnt laugh at the time. But we do now. Too much excitement. Funny little pony.

12.01.2022 Be free..... weaned and had all their lessons. Missed the foal shows unfortunately as its such good education for them. I dont think they mind though, theyre fat, furry and have beards. Chestnut is Ll. Puzzle (Arielen Maestro x Ll. Delyth) retained as a colt and the the Palomino is Ll. Aladdin (Arielen Maestro x Ll. Corn Doli) to be gelded.

10.01.2022 Well finally managed to prepare two ponies for a show after a 2yr hiatus. The Welsh Nationals. I was so looking forward to a weekend away playing with ponies. Unfortunately the universe had other ideas. Sorry people if I didnt talk to you or infected you, I was soooo sick. Still laid up in bed. So not a lot of prep went into the ponies. Thx Sarah Cattanach for showing the colt Ll. Fantastic Mr Fox and thx Sally Dalby for showing the filly Ll. Delightful (aka dolly). So luck...y to have you to step in for me. Oh and thx Dad Anthony Deane for coming with me and being my groom Mr Fox won his 2yo colt class Dolly 3rd in 2yo filly class Thx to the National Committee for a great show, the ARC was very enjoyable to watch, thank-you to the sponsors and thank-you to the Judges and Stewards. Sorry to the competitors that were affected when I let Dolly go for the second show this season in my defence it was a short lead and I had oil on my hands and was sick. She did show promise for the working hunter classes jumping the arena barriers. Very hard to catch a naughty pony when your laughing Sally See more

Miss Daisy 6th in 8yo and over mare class Sec. A Arielen Maestro 4th in 8yo and over stallion class Sec.A Ll. Delightful 7th in 3yo filly class Sec. A... 07.01.2022 Yesterday we laid to rest gorgeous Ll. Last Waltz aged 19 after a short illness. (Sire: Coed Coch Bedwyn (Imp) Dam: Llanfairbryn Foxtrot Sire of Dam: Twyford Sizzle (Imp))... Last Waltz was the last foal sired by Coed Coch Bedwyn (imp) and his twelfth with Llanfairbryn Foxtrot with whom he is buried. An Agricultural Show Champion and placegetter at the 2003 Victorian All Welsh Show and the 2003 Victorian Foal Futurity, at the 2009 Royal Melbourne Show Last Waltz was 2nd in the WMP Broodmare Class and her filly foal Llanfairbryn Gold Fever won the WMP Foal Class. Last Waltz is the dam of the fillies Gold Fever (retained in the Stud), Nerys, Miss Swan and Birthday Girl by Nattai Bedwyn and the males Brecon, Foxed Again, Gerallt, Swgwr, Gryphon, Cambridge. She was a typical hardy Welsh pony having never seen the Vet in her life. Full of personality. For years she was referred to as The Kicking B...... as she was a terrible kicker of other ponies. In later years she handed this title over to one of her Neices.... :) RIP Wally
06.01.2022 Arielen Maestro in the fog. I realised in the night that a bunch of photos didnt make it into the slide show. Including him, poor fella. Ill redo it. Hes 2o years old now.

05.01.2022 Ll. Miss Daisy - age 23 Sire- Coed Coch Bedwyn (Imp) Dam- Ll. Foxtrot (Twyford Sizzle (Imp) x Crossways Foxy (Imp)). Daisy has been Barastoc Horse of the Year amongst many other awards.
04.01.2022 Two years ago I started doing this as a surprise for Mum And Dad in our 50th year for the Stud. With the completion of the deer/roo fence the first time and then the fire last year it hadnt happened. Finally finished.......
04.01.2022 Thought this may interest people. Came across this pic from a few years ago. One of the old girls developed a Stromal abscess. Look at the blood supply down to the abscess to try and heal it. Isnt it amazing. It caused her no pain or discomfort so we just treated topically and left it. Didnt want to cause her pain. She just has a small milky white spot on her eye.
03.01.2022 Mr Fox had to come in for a bath today (very very itchy) so I thought Id take advantage of the driveway looking so beautiful.
03.01.2022 It was a very sad day here at Llanfairbryn as we said goodbye to our two older stallions Nattai Bedwyn (29) and Kingswood Snowman ( 23). Both were in top nick and spirit but the rigours of long active lives had taken their toll. Both were in pain. Poor Bedwyn deteriorated in the last 2 days and went in the hind quarters and Snowman the same and couldnt trot. They both gave us so much pride and pleasure, we loved them dearly and will miss them dreadfully. We are expecting two foals from Snowy which will be bitter sweet. They both left us so many lovely offspring. xxx
03.01.2022 Welcome Ll. Phantom (Tom) maybe I should've given him a cup day name, but with that perfect mask it had to be Phantom. Dam Ll. Miracle and Sire Arielen Maestro. She foaled all on her own at midday and he was up and cantering around by two. Luckily she read the book as a maiden and didn't follow in her own footsteps and get separated at birth and miss out on colostrum. Tiny little first foal with swollen bloodshot eyes. Lots of bling. Make a fabulous little saddle pony.
