23.01.2022 VALE Wattle Grove Melissa WGS G46: Melissa has been part of the Three Way Speckle Park Donor Team for many years now, she has 58 registered calves including 2 in our show team 2019,20,21. and thankfully many more in the tank. Melissa injured her back leg some 12 months ago but all the care in the world couldnt save her from a colder than usual winter. She lost her battle today and we thank her for all the great calves, dams, sires and show cattle she has produced for us and many others. She will be sadly missed. Ironically her calves are being born to recipient dams as I type. Two of her offspring have also entered our donor dams this year, one, Three Way Melissa L43 is being flushed next week. Life goes on.

23.01.2022 Good Lord theres another two, must be in the water! Rosie the house cow (part of the family) said she should never have drunk the same water as Lucy the Speckle Park cow did.

23.01.2022 Our ladies are not going to wait another nine days!!!! this little lady arrived last night 11/02/15 she is By Spots and Sprouts Stands Alone out of Three Way Gracelands, her recip mom is a pure bred Limousin cow whos gestation period was 272days normally Limousins are around 288 days.

21.01.2022 Here she is Showcase Showstopper Number 3 First female to be showcased, hope you all like her.

20.01.2022 I told you I still had a belly ache. Oh God there TWO of them, TWO GIRLS oh me oh my, no thats their name Three Way Oh Me and Three Way Oh My

20.01.2022 Three Way changed tack this week with a trip with two of our steers and two that we donated to Quirindi High School to the Steer Extravaganza held in Glen Innes. Jack prepared our two steers a Speckle steer by Mr Business out of a pure bred limo cow and a red Limousin by a Llerrog Limo bull out of a second x Speckle Park Limo x cow. Australian cattlemen should be proud of the quality of the cattle tha...t were on display. Represented by many breeds including Speckle Park crossed with Limousin and Angus, across both Queensland and NSW, A quality line up rarely seen in one place. Congratulations to Quirindi High Ag Farm getting well deserved ribbon with one of Llerrog Limousins steers, it has been very difficult for the schools to prepare for carcase comps this year, Scone was their target comp but was cancelled,so we were 6 weeks early in sending the steers to Glen Innes, unfortunately a lot of steers had to be un-led because of covid19 restrictions on school age children. The results will be live streamed next Monday night. Colin Say and Co put on a great show at the gorgeous Glen Innes Show Ground and all in all a great "safe" weekend had by all who attended. 18.01.2022 This is our Number 1 showstopper Three Way Paradigm Shift NGL Q11 only 12 months old

18.01.2022 Three Way Speckle Parks enjoyed a great day at Mudgee Show, Jack presented and handled the cattle to a very high standard which didnt go unnoticed by the judge. Jack was assisted by Andrew and Kate who done a wonderful job in the handling of the cattle, both in the stud classes and their Junior Paraders. Jack also won the Terry Dennis Herdsman Award so a big congratulations to him. Three Way Light Moments NGL P100 won her second Champion Junior Female and her younger team ma...te Three Way Take Two NGL P70 took out Reserve at only her second show. All our cattle performed well and are on track for Sydney. None of the females in the show team have returned since being AId nearly 8 weeks ago, so fingers crossed. Other Speckle Park studs should be congratulated on the quality of cattle presented, winning the lions share of the prizes on offer. It is very positive for the breed when the general public, farmers and cattle producers come along and are presented with such quality within the Speckle Park Breed. See more

16.01.2022 The newly formed Central West Speckle Park Breeders Group had a great day at Neil and Glenda Gorrells Three Way Speckle Park Stud at "Watervale" Glen Alice in the Capertee Valley. The day included a fitting demonstration by Kieran who is a very professional fitter well known to Speckle Park and Limousin breeders. A talk on Livestock assessment and feeding to meet market and show specifications by Brett Littler. Special guest Udo Mahne of Embryo-life gave a talk on Embryo t...ransfers and the benefits of using this method within your herd.. A Docility testing demonstration by Neil Gorrell, and a great BBQ lunch which was Speckle Park steak (cooked by Ben Fiore, thanks Ben) and Salad and deserts prepared by the entire group. A Special thanks to Donna Upton for all her help and a very Special thank you to Bruce Upton for taking photos on the day. A short talk by Natalie Merz on the newly formed association and election of office bearers also took place, The inaugural President is Alex Pateman. Our Speckle Park females were also on display for all to see. We were preparing to have our day totally outside but some very welcome rain at the wrong time made us all dash to the shearing shed. Thank you to one and all for making the day a great success. Thank you also to Three Way Halfpenny who is 24 months old and hasnt been touched since Sydney Royal and is also 7months pregnant to River Hill Walker 26T, she was actually very obliging getting her makeover on the day. 10.01.2022 Three Way Speckle Parks Preview of just some of our 2018 "P" bulls coming up for sale. Candy Man wouldnt be available till after Sydney Royal, seen in last photo being competently shown by Jack Almond.

10.01.2022 When you can see eye to eye with your partner "love conquers all"

10.01.2022 Up to number 7 already, Candy Man is the only working age Speckle Park Bull left at Three Way and is for Sale.

07.01.2022 Getting through 3 years of drought, let all hope it ends soon for everyone. We have had a break but no running creek and dams still not full, so not really optimistic.

07.01.2022 CANDY MAN P82 HAS BEEN SOLD Three Way Speckle Parks was overwhelmed and would like to thank the many people who inquired about Candy Man. Congratulations to his new family, he has now found a new home in Victoria and is off soon to start creating his own family tree. We hope his tree is as fruitful as his Dam Three Way Princess Grace's L8, and Grand dam Three Way Graceland's G19 (G19's progeny and genetics has grossed in excess of $300.000.00) Gracelands is now 9 and is pre...gnant and I believe we will not flush her again, she is out of the famous Codiak Unique 8R by Riverhill Walker. Gracie has had a great innings and we hope she grazes our paddocks for a few more years to come. We still have her full sister Three Way Glen Rose G9 who we have never tried to flushed, but she produces some outstanding offspring each year. Three Way Gracelands L41 out of G19 by the great Stands Alone is now in our Donor herd, she is producing up to 30 embryos a flush so she has now been earmarked to take over from her dam. a full sister to L41, P2 who has been successful in the show ring (shown along side Candy Man) is now pregnant and should resume her show career after covid, like her dam we have trouble keeping the weight off her but she is out in the paddock only getting what the good lord wants her to have, so hopefully the waist line will shrink a little, although the lord has been very generous this year with the grass. 07.01.2022 Three Way Gracelands NGL G0019 with one of her biological daughters, not a natural daughter but they are like peas in a pod. We are so proud of Gracie and her record for producing outstanding progeny, including the recording breaking $32,000.00 heifer in 2018, Champions in the ring, and cracking sires, now performing for other studs. We now have two Gracelands heifers in next years show team. The heifer pictured is by Remins Proud Moments the sire of two, of last years winning show heifers. Below is a granddaughter of Gracelands Three Way Perfect Business by Mr Business. Then another broad ribbon winning daughter NGL P2 by Stands Alone. Then the mighty matron herself coming off her last flush season for a while to have another natural calf.

04.01.2022 Well, here is our Showcase Showstopper NUMBER 2 THREE WAY PAID MY DUES We have been impressed with this fellow since day dot, Jack has absolutely loved working with him and is just itching to get him in the show ring. Mr Personality Plus. Even Neil is impressed with this promising prospect. We hope everyone is as impressed with him as we are.

03.01.2022 Three Way Showcase to the World Showstopper number 6 is here.

03.01.2022 Our house cow of 18 years (Rosie) died 3 years ago but left us her last heifer calf, we AId her with Jersey sexed semen and the calf was due on the 26th February, however Rosie 2 didnt calve on time and we became very anxious as it was her 1st calf, we didnt back her up to a bull as we only have SP and Limo bulls, and they reside at our other property 100klm away, but at 6am this morning this is what popped out, dont know the sex yet. but I think some very young SP bull calves, still on their mums had their way with Rosie2 somewhere along the line and over the fence. Regardless we were pleased that she had the calf with no problems or assistance, and am sure we will have her as long as we had her mum.
