25.01.2022 Helloooo ' bookers and ' bookerettes! What a day what a day indeed!! Started off splitting a 2" copper tube for protection of the worm shoe fitted the other day. Spread gently with block and mallet it was applied to the shoe amd beaten into shape...removed finished up, black jacked..... Refitted jacked and nailed off.Onwards and upwards punters... 32' steam launch comes out next!! Stay tuned for some serious old timey stuff

25.01.2022 Utter carnage !! Urrrgh...

20.01.2022 Well pipples, huffin'and puffin' and humpin' and gruntin' have I been and the saga of the shed shiftin' and stuffin' is drawing to a close....The storage shed is nearly empty and my new workshop is filling up...Today ( Thurs) we (the owner and I) oicked the 5kva diesel genset out of the engine room and loaded onto the ute...Along with my tools it then took a roadtrip to Seymour where I unloaded everything into the workshop ready for tomorrow when I'll fire up and get ready for POWER in the shed Yippee!!

20.01.2022 Sad day today, finally emptied the house completely..It echoed eerily... This is the first time since my parents moved in in1948/1949 that the house has been so totally empty.. End of an era!!

20.01.2022 Well that's it folks... Done and dusted and dusty..Last trip to tip last trip to storage last trip dropping stuff off... Back to work tomorrow, the past has now gone....The future is all that is left, goodbye old house!!

20.01.2022 Great big humongous day!!! The storage unit is empertee!!! Yes folks this can only mean that my shed is now somewhat messy and that it will be some time until I've got everything sorted and organised.. Looks like I'll have to have a tool sale to unburden myself of multiple copies of some tools and some antiques that I can't justify keeping.. ( keep an eye out tool bandits!) I've even started some light duties maintenance etc that is long overdue...More later possums!! Stay vertical, stay safe!!!

19.01.2022 By way of explanation for the last posting...I had some time off last week so took some time to check out a possible project boat in Sussex Inlet...Drove up Thursday, checked her out Friday and drove back Saturday... Nice boat, good possibility, more detailed examination in early new year??? Might be a shed stuffer for my new premises in Seymour!! The count down begins for this Friday when the official handover occurs...Stay tuned punters, I'll try to be more regular with postings?.. Lou.

18.01.2022 Helloooo you little Gladiolii sniffers!! Hard at it like a little beaver I've been... Shed stuffin' and more stuffin' and in this heat that's no mean feat!!! For a start I'd forgotten how much timber was in storage and removing that exposed all the heavier machinery which tout seul was a phoofer valve busting experience!!!

17.01.2022 Well helloooo faceplanters!!!! It's been a long time since I've posted something but things have been rapidly changing in my life.. The boat (photos to follow) goes on but in the meantime the family home has sold. The upshot is that I've been working and on weekends trhing to put house contents, tools and timber into storage..At the moment there are 3 weekends left 'til I have to be out and along with other problems I'll be at best "of no fixed address" or theoretically homeless.. Anyhoo enough tearjerking here are some photos..

17.01.2022 Gerdai punters, Lou here, your local guru of gish!!! Or so I'd like to think...Soooo, if you've caught my last post you'll be aware that I've escaped from the frozen Mexican part of Aus. and shuffled off up the track to Sussex Inlet..Here I've become .....Doctor Lou, leaping from tussock to tussock bringing joy to all and salvation to (at present) 3 wooden boats suffering from various boat related illnesses.. 1 has nautical pox created by naisty marine organamisms, another needs some cosmetic surgery and a surficial scrubup while the third just needs a tart up (I'm good at tarting).. Up here for a month then back down to Victoria to continue the fitout on "one off".. Her's some pikkies of the.3 patients..

10.01.2022 Oh fiddely dee McGurk.!! Wot a day indeed... Tamar Lady engine refitted, shaft and log.. refitted.. Bare patches in hull primed... Antifouling 3/4 finished. Oy vey.. Wot a dai!!!

09.01.2022 Helloooo happy facebookerers!!! I on to give you all fair warning....Termorra's me birfday and if you raise your hairy eyeballs to the heavens tonight you'll notice the moon is nice and fat!!! Google full moon June and you'll find that the 9th coincides with..you guessed it FULL MOON.... I can feel some lurking going on (heh heh heh).Oh golly the frivolity and shenanigans... Byeeee!

09.01.2022 I have a little story to tell and it's best done with pictures...

09.01.2022 Into it big time today..... Tamar Lady back into the drink and out comes 32' of DOLPHIN... Timber, steam and style combined... Poking about tomorrow before plunging yet again into the fray... Happy days punters!!!

09.01.2022 Well Punterettes!!!! Another day and another aborted relaunch... Got her in, got her started, couldn't get water pumping out of the exhaust.... Shut her off, tried several things still no go, back onto trailer and back to the yard ..Pulled pump apart, all good.... tarted everything up reinstalled and will go for another launch in the a.m.

08.01.2022 Helloooo sandsnufflers!!! After a couple of disappointments the partyboat was launched today!!!! Water out the telltale, water out of the exhaust cast off and down the inlet we went....sounded like a brick barge on the Mekong but go she did!!! Yippee, boat went in the piss and I got on it.....( for a little while)

05.01.2022 Hello punteroonies!!! The big day has occurred and I'm now a filthy land owner...Saturday spent marking out house site and getting my head around how to set things out in the shed...some pics follow, hope it doesn't bore you....

03.01.2022 Well hello punteroonies!!! My little facebooky thingeroony has been nagging at me to post something in order to avoid some apocalyptic event akin to electro-emotional meltdown or whatever....Sooo what has liittl' ol' moi bin upta??? Well it turns out... Heaps...!!Rot assiduously dug out and replaced with new timber, and cartloads of painting painting painting...Here're some pikkie type things to satisfy your ravenous interest...

02.01.2022 Friday, " Classic "tarted up and ready for Paynesville rally...Ute loaded boat attached lights working and ready to head off down south to begin a total rebuild..

02.01.2022 Gerday possums.... Another day with the new property.I had some idea about where to put things but that's evaporated.Looks like I'll have to wait until I get the main lot out of storage before assigning places..Too much of a mix of shed/house stuff at the moment..

01.01.2022 Made it down the track without any real problems. Had a minor freakout watching the fuel gauge heading to zero with Albury 15kms away.... Got to servo with less than 2 litres in tank(50 ltr tank..48.7 ltrs put in) Rewarded ute with a drink of high octane juice and headed off to Seymour.. Anyhoo trip over, shed to be re-sorted and then to get engine out redy for the fun to begin!!
