24.01.2022 Sunset at Llowalong

24.01.2022 Expressions of interest welcome. We have approximately 20-25 Friesian/Angus and Friesian/Hereford (F1) cow, that we are considering selling. They have all been PTIC and are in good condition, give the current season. They are due to calf in March. They are in calf to a Limousin bull and the bulls can be inspected. They weigh approx. 500-550kg. Ages vary from 4 years to around 8 years. Most are 4 to 6 years. Most have been hand raised and are very quiet. All have good feet..., eyes, udders etc. In previous years the calves have been sold to a wholesaler, directly from the property. Calves averaging around 350-375 kg @ 9 months. They are not the tail end of our herd! We are moving away from crossbred cattle and we dont want to see an excellent line of cattle go of the farm as choppers. Cattle are located 10 km from Stratford Vic 3862 We sold 20 of our tail end and empty cows last month. The best of which sold for around $1050.00 as choppers Asking around $980.00 plus gst.

The herd has been selected from top local dairy farmers for vealer mothers. Cows are milking well. Calves are sired by Jack Bravingtons Hermiston stud Limousin bull and they are in fresh sappy condition. Last years calves weighed on ave 200kgs dead sold to Radfords on the 23/12/19 and first draft with an ave weight of 227kg ave to Stivic.
