09.01.2022 THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING COMMUNITY A huge thank you to everybody who helped contribute to Lloyd Street’s most successful Fair ever! The kids’ sun dance clearly worked as the weather gods smiled on us and the crowds came out in droves. So many people to acknowledge, from everyone who came to the working bee, the Friday set up and the Sunday clean up, everyone who worked on our stalls and our amazing stall-holders. Everyone who counted coins, baked, donated, wrapped and chopp...ed it was all worth it! A few special folks to acknowledge: The incredible Tammy and Nathan Horrigan working on the mixer all day then fronting the band to keep us entertained in the evening. Speaking of entertaining, Tim Wood for his wit and warmth as MC. And how lucky are we to have the inspiring and talented Sarah Childs at our school organising the flash mobs, ensembles and bands for the day. Ralph Pollehn for hooking up all the electrics and Tom Lawson for being our emergency plumber on the big day. Roger Gribble and Beck Odgers for bringing in the pie truck in the evening. Justin King for supplying the 1800-Got Junk trucks which made the clean-up super easy. Scott Booth from Night and Day Communications for producing all our visuals. Tim Hennessy for ensuring we had amazing coffee all day with a smile thanks to Espresso Rescue. And finally to all our amazing stall holders for your enthusiasm, creativity and desire to ensure your stalls were nothing short of sensational! We were so well supported by so many local businesses, it would be fantastic if we can support them in return. While we are still finalising the final takings and will communicate the profit once known, this was our most financially successful Fair ever. An awesome effort from everybody!
