20.01.2022 COVID-19 Dear Yass Valley Animal Community, The health and safety of our clients and staff is our highest priority and so we wanted to address COVID-19 situat...ion in our district and reassure clients that we are doing everything we can to stop the spread of this virus. At the time of writing this post, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our local area. We don’t wish to add to the heightened level of concern surrounding this situation; however, we aim to be as prepared as possible. The most impactful thing we can do is follow clinical guidelines by asking that all clients with flu-like symptoms: High Temperature Sore Throat Cough Shortness of breath Please phone us prior to your appointment. We ask that you do not enter our premises. Nurses can collect your pet from the carpark and we are able to take nurses with us to hold horses or restrain animals on our horse and farm visits. This is accordance with recommendations from the NSW government. These recommendations are being updated regularly and we are doing our best to remain current. We will contact you again if there are any further developments requiring action to these guidelines. We also ask that anyone who has travelled overseas within the last month to make us aware of this prior to attending their appointment. We have escalated our hygiene practices within the practice, so you will notice some changes. There is hand sanitizer available at reception and a basin is available for hand washing. Surfaces within the hospitals are being wiped over regularly. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns that you would like to discuss with and office member, please don’t hesitate to contact us via phone or email. Kind Regards, The Yass Valley Veterinary Team

12.01.2022 Such a good little boy again this morning he loved watching the trotter work out in the big area.

12.01.2022 Ground work with Billy today, considering the horrible weather Billy did quiet well he was a tad nervous and confused. This boy is a quickly learner and very willing. Light lunging and also did free lunging. Slowly lent over him with him getting the feel of my weight on his back, with sarah his owner holding him aswell as led us around which Billy did well. Sarah Bradley had mentioned that she hasn't ridden him as he's a bit green and she's bit nervous too atm. I've offered to do work with Billy to have him safe and comfortable for Sarah Bradley to ride and even her kids to ride aswell.

11.01.2022 Early morning walk/run with Billy boy out and about to see how he would go riding away from home. Did shy at anything (not saying he won't) he was very interested and neighed out to see if any horses about. Went through the flood way from the rain we had last week (was safe to do so). Next step is to saddle up and try a trial ride with another rider and horse and see how he goes. We did some woahing along our walk as soon as my body stopped and said woah out loud he stopped with me immediately

07.01.2022 Mouthing with Hadie. He did super well today. Been such a good boy with all the new things I've introduced to him.

07.01.2022 Lunging and saddle work. Billy learnt quickly with holding his head down nicely. Ridden in round yard and out in the small paddock pretty impressed to how quickly he's understanding all I'm asking. Needs more work in standing still when in the saddle and on the ground.

07.01.2022 Saddle work for Billy today, he did super today

02.01.2022 Not once did Franky try and pull out of the circle going to the right 2nd day lunging in the round yard as we did a week lunging in the smaller yard so I could get onto him if he was was turn out on me!

01.01.2022 So proud of little Franky boy
