25.01.2022 2020. The COVID dance year that was... Term one started like no other! Excited feet stomped the dance floor. We were busy planning our first routine for our mi...dyear show. Then things started becoming a little uneasy and we closed a week early just to be safe. A week later all nonessential businesses had to close. Remote learning commenced. What a journey that was - You are amazing parents!! We started with #lmdanceathome free tutorials for all current enrolled dancers, with one staff member in the studio and a tripod. Our midyear show was cancelled. Then we were back in the studio! Days spent cleaning out our building making everything COVIDsafe. But it wasn't to be - We only lasted three weeks. Up next - we started ZOOM! Dance parties, dress ups, bring your pet, crazy hair, PJ party and lots of fun from home. And then - We were face to face again! This time - Australian open style. Juggling rain and heat, it was just so good to see everyone. The Tennis Centre was so accommodating! Finally, we were home. Back to our happy place. And weren’t the kids excited to see the mirrors! Ha! We were excited to announce that we were having a concert. This has been obviously one of the most challenging years for all. Like so many businesses, change was something you just had to roll with. Everyone's health and safety was always our priority and continues to be. Yesterday... All the challenges and sleepless nights were worth it. The joy our dancers showed on stage is something that will be always remembered. I cannot wait for you all to see how amazing they were. The resilience those students have shown during this year has taught us a thing or two. Thank you’s To my beautiful staff and Mum - Thank you for your outstanding efforts this year. You have all been so supportive and open to any challenge. You are all amazing! To our wonderful families and dancers - Thank you for being so flexible and understanding in this crazy 2020 year. Thank you for our beautiful messages, gifts and thank you’s. We are so grateful to you all. We look forward seeing all new and returning dancers again next year. 02.01.2022 HAPPY CONCERT WEEK! An email has just been sent out with the info about our Concert this Saturday the 5th December! No doubt, an out of the ordinary concert for us - But a special day for our dancers to get that on stage experience! Costumes will be sent home this week in class. If you are unable to attend dancing this week please contact the studio to organise a time you can come collect your costume.
