25.01.2022 Just a snippet from our exercises at the stop, who do you think needs some more training?

24.01.2022 I have to say a big congratulations to our AIS lifeguard team of Louise Mitchell, Douglas Murphy, Hannah Hobson, and myself. We were able to win back the ACT Royal Life Saving trophy, at the 4th annual ACT Royal Life Saving championships on Friday. Furthermore to our team triumph, Hannah and I were able to win the best all round female and male lifeguards at the championships. Despite this being Louise's first lifeguarding competition, she was one of the championships best c...ompetitors, with a lightning fast time in the line throw event!! Douglas also performed at an exceptional level, capped off with a blistering final leg of our final relay! Also, a big thank you must be given to our super coach Evan Stewart and our great cheer/support team, Peter Raine's, Shannon Salvestro, Tim Fountain, and Gareth Bannon!! We all look forward to hosting the 5th ACT Royal Life Saving championship next February at the Australian Institute of Sport. #thecuphasreturned Luke

23.01.2022 Just a quick little swim after a gym session. Not fast but it did blow out the cobwebs for Gareth and I!! :-)

22.01.2022 Amazing strength and power doesn't mean you have to be big!! What a machine!! Enjoy being active!! :-)

20.01.2022 Hello everyone, Another one of my colleagues will be starting a weight loss/body transformation challenge. I am very excited about it, and am looking forward to seeing some pretty amazing results!! Stay tuned to see Morgan's journey! Luke

20.01.2022 EMERGENCY! We need help to stay awake on our road trip back to the nations capital. We will be making frequent stops along the way, so give us your best exercise ideas for us to do. Our equipment inventory includes 5 hurdles, yoga matt, 10kg weight plate, foam roller and a tarp. Get creative people!

19.01.2022 Paul is awesome and he works incredibly hard to get where he wants to be! He doesn't accept other peoples limitations, he smashes through them!!

18.01.2022 Returned home after a somewhat disappointing nationals last week. 5 training sessions done since returning home. I guess you can say I'm back in the deep end, for my bid for commonwealth games selection in 2018. Can't wait to start knocking out some nice and tough sessions, with the great squad I'm fortunate enough to be in.Tracey Menzies-StegbauerrJarrod KilleyyJustin Jamess

18.01.2022 I have been so fortunate during this trip to the US, and it has ended with the best visit. I was able to visit the University of Southern California today where the S&C and sports medicine staff were unbelievably willing to build a rapport and channel of communication!! To the extent of telling me how to go about getting a job in the collegiate system. An absolutely massive thank you to Danny, Josh, Tim and all of the amazing staff I got to spend time with today!!! Go Trojans!! #usctrojans #lmhfitness #canberraraiders #aisaquaticandfitnesscenter

16.01.2022 The second stop on my elite sports tour of the US was UC Berkeley today!! An early start and long day but we're about to get to watch their football team practice. Thank you to a great man, Ryan Cobb!! #ucberkeley #lmhfitness #aisaquaticandfitnesscenter #canberraraiders

16.01.2022 Final day of testing for Morgan, before he starts his weight loss/body transformation challenge tomorrow. The results from the testing are as follows: Body weight 125.32kg 80kg bench press max reps - 15 reps... Squat 6RM - 130kg Maximum chin ups - 1 1km row on level 10 - 3:39.7 2km run on the treadmill with 1.5 incline - 13:21 As you can see, we have performed a very diverse range of strength and fitness tests. We are not putting a deadline on this challenge, however we will perform retesting every 4 weeks. I am hoping Morgan's journey will provide some motivation and inspiration for any of you looking to improve any aspects of your own fitness. Keep following us and keep encouraging Morgan through out his journey to improve his quality of life. :-) Luke

16.01.2022 Kenny's winter goal is 29.00!!!

16.01.2022 A 500m race with David and my PT client Heather. David did 500m straight, heather and I did a little relay. It came right down to the wire, with David going 1:33.1 and Heather and I finishing in 1:33.4. I know I have a lot of technical corrections to make, but I couldn't be prouder of Heather and how far she has come. She is an inspiration for me, as she wasn't sure if she would be alive, this time last year. Great work David and Heather, a rematch is coming soon!!! :-)

14.01.2022 I'm looking forward to posting regular challenges on our page. Challenge #1: I was lucky enough to have Shannon joining me for our first challenge, max push ups in 30 seconds. You can perform the push ups from your knees or toes but, remember to keep good form with your chest touching the ground and extending your arms fully, pushing through your chest.... Test yourself and fee free to comment with your results or even share a video with your completion of the challenge! #lmhfitnesschallenge1 Experience AIS

14.01.2022 We have a new leader in our push up challenge! Phil knocked out an amazing 39 reps in the 30 seconds! David also smashed out 33 of the smoothest full range push ups I've ever seen! Very nice boys, the bar has been raised! :-) #lmhfitnesschallenge1

14.01.2022 The third and final stop on my elite sports tour of the US was Stanford university today. It is on impressive facility!! A massive thank you to their head athletic trainer, Eitan!! #Stanford #lmhfitness #aisaquaticandfitnesscenter #canberraraiders

14.01.2022 The first stop on my US elite sports tour. I got to meet some great people, with a lot of knowledge!! #sfsu #lmhfitness #aisfitness #canberraraiders

12.01.2022 Hello all, Our abs session yesterday got a little interesting. Thank you Andrew for the encouragement!!! 20kg plate will be going up soon!! :-) Being vertical yesterday may have contributed to the bursting of an artery in my nose, during a set this morning. Everything was thoroughly cleaned up, after I finished the set. I can't stop because of a little blood. Haha! I will be working on my breathing technique, while under load. :-) Happy training everyone!!

11.01.2022 One of the best things about my job is when I'm a part of people reaching their goals. Making a goal with training is a fantastic way to motivate yourself and keep track of your training. Over the month of February I will be assisting my good friend and work colleague Shannon, in improving his 3 rep max bench press. We are starting the month with a max lift of 115kg. I look forward to sharing his progress with you over the coming weeks and see how much of an improvement we can make with specialised training. #shannonbench #115ofthebest #upupupup Luke

10.01.2022 Hello everyone! Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to recieve a lesson from Danielle and Amie from the Australian synchronised swimming team. They took me through the very basics of their sport, accompanied by much laughter and encouragement. :-) As you can probably tell, I need to work on my sculling, when I lift my legs. :-) However, after Danielle said "don't worry Luke, you're better than some of the 10 year olds I teach", I felt like it was a successful session. Haha!! To...day, I had a go at one part of their swimming warm up. It was 300m as 50m freestyle, 25m underwater, and 25m butterfly, all at a decent pace. The girls generally do some sprints before it, and then go straight into some more ridiculously hard gravity defying exercises. Therefore, I thought, it can't be that bad. So, I stupidly jumped straight in without warming up. The result was me laying on the pool deck for about 5 minutes (feeling all kinds of fatigue), after completing the swim. I know I'm not the fittest I've been at the moment, however I believe it's more an indication of how amazing these young women are. :-) Happy exercising everyone! Luke

10.01.2022 Today Patrick and I were lucky enou to watch the first game of the season for the Oklahoma State University football team. It was one amazing experience!! #osucowboys

05.01.2022 Merry Christmas boys! I hope you have a nice and relaxing Christmas break, getting ready for the second half of pre-season.

04.01.2022 Hello all, Just an update on what will be coming on our LMH Fitness page. I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to try a lift with the Australian synchronised swimming team, when they were here at the AIS. What is basic for them, was very challenging for me! They are some really amazing athletes!! Soon I will be putting up 2 videos of my attempted lifts. :-) http://www.synchro.org.au Luke

04.01.2022 Here we go!! LMH Fitness PT & Massage is excited to begin the journey of sharing my passion. Over the coming months I will be sharing the journeys of my clients and friends, fitness challenges, and any other fitness related topics which come our way. I look forward to you sharing your own stories and taking on some of our fitness challenges. Luke.

03.01.2022 Today, we got an in-depth behind the scenes of the Oklahoma State University football, basketball, S&C, and recovery facilities. Once again, amazing facilities and friendly people!! Also, thanks to Adam for being our taxi and showing us the town!!

02.01.2022 A great ceremony tonight at AT&T park, to commemorate the 16th anniversary of 9/11. Unfortunately the game was rained out but at least that's another first for me at a MLB game. #sfgiants

01.01.2022 Tim and I decided to have a little race after the meet finished, while we were packing it all up. Unfortunately, this shows how out of shape I am. Despite not having a warm up, working 21hrs in two days, and getting 4hrs of sleep last night. Haha! :-) That's not quick enough, so I had better pull my finger out!! Tim swam very nicely, given he was wearing shorts and hasn't been in the water for several weeks. :-)
