02.01.2022 Leslie Moorhead staff and community love to help children everywhere! Many of our Leslie Moorhead community may not know that we have been sponsoring a child through World Vision for a number of years now. Meet Aamir. ... Aamir is a 5 year old boy (the same age as many of the children in our 4 year old groups!) He lives in Nepal. He is in pre-school and enjoys learning English. Aamir lives with his mother who is an agricultural labourer and Aamir’s father has died. He is an only child. Aamir helps his mother collect and carry water. Local health services are limited and poor hygiene contributes to the spread of many illnesses. Schools lack facilities and learning materials and so it is so nice to know we are able to help contribute to Aamir and his community in some small way. See more
