So many of my recent shoots have been with people who just exude confidence, and I absolutely love capturing it. Its made me think about my own levels of confidence as a photographer. I still second guess myself. I still doubt my own abilities. Imposter syndrome still gets the better of me sometimes. All that said, its a lot less now than it was a year ago. Progress is progress. I think the point Im trying to make (badly) is that everything starts with believing that you can. Failure is always an option, but it doesnt have to be an end. 18.01.2022 This is one of my favourite images of Kim Kim from the shoot we did with Contah Photography by David Pemberton on Saturday. This was taken just after we had done all the planned shots and Kim asked if we could take a couple of shots without the wig we had been using. We literally tousled out her hair from the braid Id put it in under the wig and got a series of beautiful shots. For Kims makeup I used Urban Decay Cosmetics stay naked liquid foundation with Maybelline New Yo...rk cheek heat in fuchsia spark, NARS Cosmetics copocabana liquid illuminator, Viseart Paris concealer palette, MAC Cosmetics paint pot in groundwork in conjunction with shades from the Art Library Palette Flameboyant in Samoa SIlk, Dada Issues and Embark with Inglot Western Australia amc pigment in 84 and amc gel eyeliner in 77, I used Red Cherry Lashes and the lip was MAC Cosmetics lipstick in captive mixed with a little taupe topped with clear lipglass. 17.01.2022 Hey All, As I am sure you are aware there has not been a further announcement as yet as to when Phase 3 of the WA Government Road Map will allow beauty services to get back to business. I will be keeping a close eye on this and will make a further announcement as to when I will be reopening. I have completed the Australian Department of Health Covid19 Infection Control course and have spoken to the WA Covid19 hotline regarding my Covid Safety Plan, at this stage beauty busine...sses are not included on the list so I will be awaiting the announcement before completing the Covid Safety Plan. Going forward I will only have one client in the studio at a time to comply with the 4 square metre rule and will be spacing appointments approximately 30 minutes apart where multiple bookings are made on the same day to allow for sanitising of surfaces between clients. All clients will be required to complete a log in a "guest book" with the date of their service, a name and a contact phone number as specified by the WA Government. Cashless payments are preferred going forward, we can allow for a Bank Deposit or credit card payment however if you do need to pay with cash it will be accepted.
