24.01.2022 I take my hat off to Shannon Smith. She has really done a beautiful job capturing these images. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to work with her and now I have some beautiful photos to keep forever and show our future baby. Not long to go now
21.01.2022 Great morning with Natasha and her lovely boy Max doing some float training and groundwork. It felt great to be back and working again, helping clients to learn and grow with their horses is such a rewarding job. #loademup #floattraining #transport #groundwork #horsemanship
21.01.2022 Blast from the past! Bionic Woman Stb mare
20.01.2022 This morning we had our third session with Natasha and her boy Max. I am honestly so impressed with these two. Natasha has worked really hard with her in-hand work that I coached her to do over the last few weeks and as a result, her relationship with Max has improved significantly. She went from not being able to load Max onto a float with him refusing and running circles around her to Natasha confidently asking Max to self load, from a walk and a trot. I believe these two... will consistently improve as they continue with their horsemanship training. Well done. #loademup #floattraining #transport #horsemanship #coaching #groundwork See more

18.01.2022 So happy we got to share our story.
16.01.2022 Lovely feedback from a client that I helped out in a time sensitive situation. Her horse was due for surgery in Muswellbrook, it was pouring down rain and they couldn’t get the horse to load. I was happy to hear after I got him on the float that they made it safely to the vets and with 10 minutes to spare. #loademup #floattraining #clientfeedback
15.01.2022 Went out to the new property today to start planning our new training facilities. Was super exciting to be back there in the beautiful valley looking at our future home. Only 8 short weeks to go & lots to pack #loademup #floattraining #transport #arcadia #fiddletown
15.01.2022 How much weight can a horse carry? In my experience, a horse can carry an infinite amount. They can carry the weight of broken hearts, broken homes, and broken bodies. Countless tears sometimes comb their tangled manes. Moments when parents and friends cannot be there to help and hold a person, horses embrace and empower. They carry physical, mental, and emotional handicaps. They carry hopes and dreams; and they will carry the stress from your day when you can't carry it any...more. They carry graduations, they carry new careers, they carry moves away from everything familiar, they carry marriages, they carry divorces, they carry funerals, they carry babys before they are born, and sometimes they carry the mothers who cannot carry their own baby. They carry mistakes, they carry joy, they carry the good and they carry the bad. They carry drugs and addictions, but they also carry the celebrations. They will carry you to success when all you have felt is failure. They will carry you, never knowing the weight of your burdens and triumphs. If you let them, they will carry you through life, and life is hard, life is heavy. But a horse will make you feel weightless under it all. - Author unknown Photo: La Bella Vita Photography #loademup #floattraining #transport #quotes #horsemanship #training #grateful #maternityphotoshoot

15.01.2022 As a ‘brown’ Equestrian I couldn’t agree more with this. There is not enough representation of POC in the equestrian community for one, but most importantly the systemic racism is so strong due to lack of education and understanding that white equestrians can make racially insensitive comments day to day and think it’s totally acceptable. I see it every single day, I’ve experienced it, and it’s not enough to be not racist you must be actively anti-racist Speak up and educate the ignorant and privileged. If they refuse to learn then perhaps you should rethink the relationship you have with that person.
15.01.2022 BIG NEWS Things have been alittle quiet around here lately, as I have not been taking on as many float training jobs. We can finally announce why, we are expecting our first child which my husband and I are so very excited about.... Due to this reason I will be taking a step back from float training temporarily due to the potential risks involved we want to play it safe. I have a list of great trainers I can refer people on to though as we have some seriously gifted trainers on the coast. I will still be available for transport and coaching for awhile. We are so grateful for the support and well wishes. Kind regards, Vanessa #loademup #floattraining #transport #coaching #bignews

14.01.2022 Hi guys, I haven’t posted in quite awhile but I thought I’d share an update on where I’m at for all those enquiring, thankyou for your patience, I greatly appreciate it. On the 28th of July my husband and I welcome our son into the world, Austin Mateo Thurner. He is the most incredible little human and we are overjoyed to be parents. Our little man is 4 months old now which means I will be opening my books and taking on a select few clients on the weekends (possibly some wee...kdays) But please continue to be patient with me and your Enquiries if I am slow at returning your messages, our little man is going through leap 4 aswell as the 4 month sleep regression so for any parents out there that have experienced this you can empathise with me. Haha. But I’m excited to be back, and look forward to working with all your beautiful horses again, Please enjoy some photos of our little squash muffin. See more
13.01.2022 Making easy work of the wobbly bridge. This little mare doesn’t worry about much. If I had to choose one horse out of my herd to carry me safely through rain, hail or shine it would be this girl. She breathes fire into the face of challenge and asks...what’s next? #loademup
13.01.2022 I was contacted by the lovely Bella to come by and do a float loading session with her little mini mare, Dolly. Bella was having some trouble loading Dolly which resulted in her rearing and at one point flipping over. Fortunately Bella made the excellent decision to get me out to work with little Dolly and get her confident with the float. This is a great lesson for other people who own Miniatures, that just because they are small doesn’t mean they should be treated any diffe...rent to a big horse. They need proper handling, groundwork training and exercise aswell. People tend to cut corners with minis, particular when it comes to float loading, because of their size. Your still dealing with an animal with an active mindset, and if you force them in the float or in any aspect of their training you are creating an environment of panic and fear. These little tackers make great companions and can be so much fun if you do right by them. Dolly was such a cool little mare, so willing to please despite her concern towards the float. We ended our session with Bella confidently loading Dolly in a nice relaxed manner. Well done guys. #loademup #floattraining #transport #groundwork #horsemanship

06.01.2022 How’s this for a stunning transformation Absolute magic.
06.01.2022 Where have I been? Hi everyone, just to keep you all updated and informed as I feel so lucky to still be receiving daily Enquiry’s about float training, transport and other equine services unfortunately I will be out of action for a few more months yet. I am due to have my baby in only 2 SHORT WEEKS, and we are all very excited. It’s been a crazy year so far, dealing with pregnancy, having to take a break from work and then the coronavirus. It’s been really tough to say the l...east with so many highs and lows and due to this I have not been very active on this page. But I’m always looking for the light at the end of the tunnel and I know my horses and my wonderful clients will still be there when I start back up again at the end of the year. We have plenty to look forward to and be grateful for, during these trying times I have my family, my husband and my health. (And my horses) so I feel like the luckiest person in the world. I will be sure to let everyone know when I am back in operation with potentially a new rebrand and training facilities on offer. Thankyou to all those who have chosen me as their trainer and point of contact for future training services. I will keep you all updated. For now I just have to focus on getting this baby earth side and learning how to be a new mum. 06.01.2022 Load em’ up is a small business located on the NSW, Central coast that was started over 2 years ago. During this time we have helped numerous owners and their horses all over nsw to overcome ‘The fear of floating.’ After taking a step back in 2020 to safely bring our first child into the world, we are slowly getting back into the swing of things. We have many big plans for 2021, one of those involves setting up a permanent training facility in the near future, in which we ca...n offer a further range of services. We will be doing a re-brand and new business launch altogether so keep your eyes peeled and watch this space. But until then please send through any enquirers you might have regarding our services and we will get back to you as soon as we can. - Vanessa #loademup #floattraining #transport #groundwork #equineeducator #horsemanship #youngstockhandling #coaching See more
04.01.2022 To make a change, people need to speak up for racial equality. There is no such thing as a silent ally.
01.01.2022 Fantastic video demonstration how to clip a horse for those trying it on their on this season. Definitely take a look. I also recommend a hot oil treatment after clipping to soothe the skin and return some of that natural moisture and oil to the body.
