06.01.2022 COVID Cricket Changes The 2020/2021 season was looking uncertain a few months ago, but fortunately South Australia has handled the COVID-19 pandemic well enough to allow the competition to proceed, albeit with a few changes to the playing conditions. Players will be banned from using the traditional practice using saliva or sweat to shine the ball and umpires will be placing the bowler’s hat and jumper on the ground rather than holding them to minimise contact. Another co...untry cricket tradition will change this season with the customary afternoon tea adapting to meet COVID safe requirements. Host clubs can continue to provide afternoon tea however separate single serves will need to be handed out. We ask all players and members please be diligent in how we conduct ourselves. We are privileged to be able to get the season underway!

02.01.2022 UPDATE FROM THE ASSOCIATION: Matches and training will be able to resume from next Tuesday 1 December The Executive Committee met last night and made the following decisions: ... - All senior grade matches that were scheduled to be played on 21 and 28 November have been abandoned and the premiership points will be shared between the teams. - Clubs will not have an opportunity to submit team sheets for these two matches to count towards finals qualification. - The junior matches that were scheduled to be completed on 21 November will be a draw. - The junior matches that were scheduled to commence on 28 November will be played as T20 matches on Saturday 5 December. - The A Grade T20 matches that were scheduled to be played on Thursday 26 November can be rescheduled to the following Thursday (3 December) if both teams agree. If Thursday 3 December is not suitable, but the two teams can mutually agree on another date before Christmas, the match can be moved to another date. Teams involved with the A Grade T20 competition need to coordinate this and advise Seb Goldsmith by this Monday 1 December so there's adequate time to arrange umpires.
01.01.2022 Grand Final week for our Tiger family.. Enjoy every bit of it! Lobethal Football Club
