22.01.2022 LFC | NEW YEAR UPDATE Happy New Year to all of our sponsors, members and supporters. We hope that you all have had a fantastic holiday period with family and friends and wish each of you all the best for the year ahead. PLAYER RE-SIGNINGS... Leading into the Christmas break we were very excited to confirm the re-signing of many key recruits from last season that we will welcome back in 2021. Aidan Riley, Brady Dawe, Harry Viney, Alex Georgiou, Henry Voigt and Shaun McWaters will ALL be back in yellow and black this season. As had been announced previously, Jack Osborn has landed a coaching role with Sturt FC but we hope that he’ll be available for a handful of games throughout the season. PRE-SEASON Next Monday the 11th of January our Senior players will commence their training for the coming 2021 Season. Training will commence at 6:15pm sharp on Monday and Wednesday until further notice. We encourage all of our Senior playing squad and also Under 18’s to attend as many sessions as they can in preparation for this year. Stay tuned for further announcements and information regarding Junior training dates over the coming weeks.

08.01.2022 LFC | CLUB UPDATE NEW OVAL LIGHTING: As seen last week, the oval lighting is basically complete. The major upgrade will significantly improve Friday night junior footy, training and allows us to consider scheduling senior night fixtures. Not to mention the benefits/opportunities for our community in general. Thanks in particular to Adam Dienelt and Randall Weeks who have been instrumental managing the project with Sports Lighting SA. ... FOOTBALL COMMITTEES: As most of you would be aware, Randall Weeks has stepped down after many years serving as LFC’s President. Randall’s contribution is simply mind blowing, we’re forever indebted for his outstanding service. Kerri Tilbrook also steps down after countless years sitting on Junior and Senior Committees, Kerri’s organisational skills will be sorely missed but she’s earnt a well-deserved break. Moving forward, our Senior Committee has added a couple new faces. We structure up as follows: * President: Travis Blundell * Vice President: Shane Skinner * Secretary: Adam Dienelt * Treasurer: Bronwyn Skinner * Junior Director: Paul Mason (new member) * General Member: Craig Wood * General Member: Aaron Rush (new member) * Plus a number of hard working club people assisting behind the scenes We wish Travis all the best in his role as President for 2021. A very enthusiastic and loyal clubman, it is exciting to see him in this position. We’d also like to welcome, Aaron Rush and Paul Mason to the senior committee. Both will add a lot of value. On to our Junior Committee, we’d like to acknowledge Ryan and Jodi Partridge, along with all the Committee members and coaches for their tireless effort keeping the juniors going through COVID and previous seasons. We’re pleased to announce Paul Mason steps into the Junior Director position, Paul’s passion will ensure junior participation is strong. Joining Paul, Ryan, Jodie Hogben, Nathan Harten and Damian Harviluk and we welcome Paul Herde, Todd Mason and Andrew Guerin. All player parents who’ll inject some fresh ideas. 05.01.2022 LFC | PRESIDENT UPDATE Whatever the result of tomorrow’s game we should all be proud of what the club has been able to achieve this year. I’m sure we’ll have the loudest and proudest supporter base for the day. For those watching from afar cheer loudly. With that in mind can I please ask that we all observe the rules and regulations around COVID compliance. I’m confident that we can all still enjoy and celebrate the day with some minor difference to what is perhaps normal. I...’m asking that we observe the requirement to stay off the playing field at all times ( even at the end of the game ). Other than players and officials no one is to be in the change rooms. There will be opportunity at the end of the game to celebrate with the players as they come off the ground. Once back at the clubrooms there is plenty of chairs and tables for everyone. Again please note that you must be seated if consuming alcohol. There will be a security presence so please respect them and those club volunteers who will be acting as COVID marshals. They are there to help us all do the right thing and so that everyone can enjoy themselves. There will be meals available, full bar facilities and presentations around 6:30pm.
