19.01.2022 NEW LOOK, WHO DIS? We've updated our packaging from top to bottom & it's a change that's more than skin deep. After 5 years, we've levelled up our brand game in every way! Everything has a purpose. Every single change we made was made with intention, taking steps to sync up with our ethos & what we're about. Welcome to the next level, folks. More to come over the next few days (or you can head to our shiny new website to get the tea first)! ... P.S how epic is our @sanremoaustralia Racer, customised by our man Phil @absolute_espresso_services See more

13.01.2022 Happy International Coffee Day, lovers! We're really digging this coffee & sunshine vibe over @mrherbertscoffee Today we give props to the entire coffee community who allow us to drink our favourite beverage. From the people at farm level who produce, pick & process the coffee. To the roasters, cafe owners, baristas & finally, the consumer. It takes a village to make this happen & we’re grateful for every single person in that chain! We hope your day is filled with many an excellent coffee & hopefully some sunshine too! #coffeeforthepeople #internationalcoffeeday2020

10.01.2022 Here's some cuteness to break up ya feed! Our Organic blend is more than part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable coffee, it's also a bit of a passion project that's close to our heart. Our 142 is made up of two origins: one is a washed Peruvian, fair-trade organic coffee. The other is a traditional wet-hulled Indonesian from our friends @orangutancoffee The Orangutan Coffee Project is a 360 degree project which focuses around two main initiatives. First, ...helping Sumatran coffee farmers to operate environmentally-friendly coffee plantations, to help protect the fragile eco-system. The second, supports @socp.official (Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Program) that cares for, protects & rehabilitates injured, orphaned & rescued orangutans AND fights against deforestation! We are committed to an ongoing partnership with OCP & have big plans for this blend. Stay tuned for exciting things to come in the next few months! #localefamily See more

07.01.2022 Our latest espresso offering is this versatile natural Rwandan from Kanyege Washing Station in the district of Nyamasheke, which is considered to be one of the best washing stations in Rwanda! Kanyege is part of Sucafina Rwanda’s farm management project, which trains casual workers in best agricultural practices & connects them with farmers. Workers can assist with pruning, fertilser & pesticide application, and harvesting. Once ripe, the coffee cherries are picked & de...livered to Kanyege washing station from over 940 smallholder farms. The cherries are hand sorted to remove any visible defects before being placed in thin layers on tables to sun dry & sifted regularly to ensure even drying. With flavours of peach, cherry & mandarin, this coffee features a delicate & round acidity with a smooth, medium body and a lingering, sweet aftertaste. See more

07.01.2022 Well done, VIC...we did it!! We're finally on the way out of this mess & we can't wait to welcome you back into our HQ Lab really soon...it's had a bit of a facelift over the break too! #wevemissedyou

03.01.2022 We didn't think we'd ever have to write this post but the time has come to say farewell to one of the #localefamily originals. The incredible relationships Cameron Turnbull has built with his customers are second to none. His big heart & intense passion for Locale could never be questioned. He's our lovable larrikin, a great friend, and the heart & soul of Locale in QLD for the past 6 years. To say he'll be missed is a huge understatement! This will be Cub's las...t week with us, and for those who know Cam well, the fact that he's finishing up on April Fool's isn't lost on us (though we did have to triple check this wasn't another one of his epic pranks) And, while the band may be breaking up, he'll always be a part of our family. Wishing you nothing but the best in your next adventure mate, we know you'll kill it in the family business! We do expect to see your head pop into a team Zoom meeting every once in a while. #localefamily4lyf If you're looking to catch him before he finishes, Cam's last day will be this Thursday 1st April See more

01.01.2022 FUN FACT: our roastery is solar powered & we're carbon neutral too! We're part of the Carbon Reduction Institute’s low carbon economy & working towards zero carbon. It's basically a fancy way of saying that for every greenhouse gas we emit, we invest back into programs that create renewable energy resources. It's really important to us that we reset our climate change impact & ensure our business isn't adding to the problem. We offset our emissions by purchasing car...bon credits from renewable energy programs around the world. Since 2018, all of our products are certified carbon neutral & our coffee bags will soon carry the NoCo2 logo too! As well as the entire production of our coffee, the carbon offset program also covers things like; transport of our products interstate, staff travel, electricity usage...you name it! Climate change is a fact & we're proud to be doing what we can to minimise our impact. We hope to see more businesses follow suit in the future! #sustainability See more
