25.01.2022 Yesterday it was my privilege to officiate joining a beautiful young couple in marriage. They chose Nanga Bush Camp and WOW. The centre did reflect their personalities as did their ceremony. What a day! With the ambience of the solid fuel fire crackling away in the centre of the venue. Thea Wale your personal celebrant.
25.01.2022 YAY, first step. Now legislation. It's about love and equality. Well done Australia.
24.01.2022 A very mixed week. Wednesday Officiated at a farewell in Mandurah for a much loved partner, Dad, grandad and friend. A gentleman taken way to early. Then Friday a wedding for a young couple who ‘tied the knot’. Both events full of so much love. Both ceremonies were written with input from the key persons. Such variation in what I do. Such a privilege. So much love. I am truly blessed.
23.01.2022 Just booked my annual Professional Development Day. Yep that's what we celebrants do. Have to keep abreast of the Marriage act and the law. Always have time for networking, fun and eating. I always come away feeling inspired and ready to create very personal ceremonies.
21.01.2022 So excited. Tomorrow I will have the absolute privilege of joining Michael and Sophie in marriage at Oakover Grounds. 'When two people pledge their love and care for each other in marriage they create a spirit unique unto themselves which binds them closer than any spoken or written words. Marriage is a promise a potential made in the hearts of two people who love each other and takes a lifetime to fulfill.' Edmund O'Neill #familycelebrant
19.01.2022 Today we farewelled an amazing lady. The walls of the Norfolk Chapel bulged with people and love for this beautiful soul. What a privilege to be invited into this family's confidence. Thank you ~ Love doesn't stop with dying. #familycelebrant #independentcelebrant
17.01.2022 I love what I do. What a privilege. Thank you Erin Jordan and Anthony for granting me the honor of being your celebrant.
16.01.2022 What a privilege? I got to work with Erin & Anthony to create a ceremony that was indicative of their personalities then I married this beautiful couple yesterday. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Jordan, and photo acknowledgement to Ambie Scobie Photography.
16.01.2022 This last week I have had the absolute privilege to work with the family of a beautiful lady that lived in the Midland area for 94 years. Today she was laid to rest with her husband of 54 years. The streets of Midland will miss her taking her walks. Her love, values, morals and legacy lives on through her girls, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandaughter. I get to be surrounded by so much love. My role is such a privilege. #yourfamilycelebrant #celebrant
15.01.2022 I am not at all consistent with social media but just have to share this. I received a beautiful hand written note, snail mail and this fridge magnet. I am humbled. Love what I do and get to work with amazing couples. Apologies for the quality of the photo.
12.01.2022 Today I had the absolute pleasure to meet an amazingly happy couple. So down to earth and so much connection between them. They are marrying in September. We spent some happy hours planning their personal ceremony. Their nuptials will take place at their home, their personal space full of memories and love. You just need a place to stand surrounded by the people that love you most in the world. I am so excited and can't wait for 'The Day'. #celebrant #familycelebrant #civilcelebrant
11.01.2022 Working with a family today as they lovingly recall precious memories and moments about their mum. What a privilege it is to witness such raw love and to be permitted to be part of it. This wonderful mum left suddenly however she had had the foresight some five years earlier to contact me and over a glass or two she outlined what she wanted when her time came. She wanted to make it easier on her boys and their families and wanted to make sure there was no fuss. she has her wishes and her family are delighted she made her thoughts known. Forward planning is a very loving thing to do. Something worth considering.
11.01.2022 Just putting it out there. I have the best vocation and best office in the world and get to meet the most amazing people. Last weekend my office was Mandurah Quays when I had the privilege of marrying an beautiful couple by the Indian Ocean with the smell of the salt air and the squark of seagulls. Yesterday it was Bullsbrook in the bush with the smell of the eucalypts and chorus of native birds. Again a stunning couple. Both amazing venues and so different, beautiful people and so much love in the air. Just wanted to share this caravan bar available for hire. So quaint and different. Service with a difference.
09.01.2022 Beautiful day in sunny Guilderton for Bec and Jack’s wedding. #celebrant #moorerivercottage #justanotherdayinwa
08.01.2022 Sitting here doing what I love. Writing a wedding ceremony to suit a couple I am privileged to work with. Their ceremony, their way. Love it.
08.01.2022 Australia’s new Mr and Mrs Hull. Congratulations.
07.01.2022 Yesterday it was absolutely humbling experience to officiate at Pinnaroo for a very loved wife, mum, Nan, great Nan, sister, Aunty and good friend. The West chapel was full of love for a beautiful lady that has shown all who know her what love is. To her family thank you for the privilege.
07.01.2022 Sitting here writing up a very personal wedding ceremony for a beautiful couple. I love what I do.
06.01.2022 I am always happy to meet the requests of my couples. The wedding I am currently planning has a twist. Their friend is working in tandem with me. He is presenting the body of the ceremony, I am officiating, preparing, presenting and signing the legals to ensure they are actually married. Bring back fun memories Sandra Ellis? What fun. I promise no two weddings are ever the same. All weddings are written for the specific couple. #ilovewhatido #theawalecelebrent
06.01.2022 Stole the photo from the father of the groom, thanks Rod Henderson. That natural light was amazing as it bathed our couple. #familycelebrant
05.01.2022 Such a buzz. 4,000 KLM’s from Home and David gets chatting to a couple. After exchanging greetings she says, ‘Is your wife Thea and is she a celebrant?’ ‘Yes’, he replies, ‘well she married us eight years ago.’ David called me and I went to the bar for a catch up. WOW, what a privilege. I love what I do.
05.01.2022 My next wedding is a family affair at the beautiful Queens Gardens in the city. Stunning spot for a wedding. I am ever practical and checked with the bride whether her dress would drag along the ground because whilst the ducks and swans are so graceful and add so much to the peace and tranquility of the gardens the ‘duck muck’ is everywhere. Fun day coming up. I love what I do. Such an honour and privilege.
02.01.2022 One of my most favourite places on this planet is Guilderton, Moore River. On the the most favourite things that I get to do is officiate at weddings. Tomorrow I get to conduct at wedding in Guilderton at Tuppin House. I am truly blessed.
02.01.2022 Yes, I do get to meet and work with the most amazing couples. congratulations Sam and Angie Ferrier. Love what I do.
