25.01.2022 COVID-19 update for Darling Downs From 8am Monday (31/08) restrictions on gatherings and aged care will extend to the Darling Downs region. Gatherings in... people’s homes and outdoors will be limited to 10 people for residents in the Western Downs, South Burnett, Cherbourg, Toowoomba, Goondiwindi, and Southern Downs council areas. Currently, gatherings in people’s homes and outdoors are limited to 10 people for residents in Gold Coast, Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan City, Scenic Rim, Somerset, Lockyer Valley, Moreton Bay, and Redlands council areas. Everywhere else, gatherings in people’s homes and outdoors are limited to 30 people. Visits to aged care, disability accommodation services and hospitals are also limited to protect our most vulnerable. 15.01.2022 Greater Brisbane is entering a three-day lockdown. This is to stop the spread of COVID-19 after 7 locally acquired cases identified in the community. From 5pm t...onight until 5pm Thursday 1 April, anyone who has been in the local government areas of Brisbane, Ipswich, Moreton Bay, Logan and Redlands on or since 20 March can only leave home for one of these four reasons: obtain essential goods or services, including health care exercise attend essential work or childcare assist vulnerable persons. Further restrictions in Greater Brisbane include: You must carry a face mask at all times when you leave home, unless you have a lawful reason not to. You must wear a face mask in indoor public spaces, on public transport and outdoors when you cannot physically distance. You don't need to wear a face mask in a private vehicle Limit of two visitors to your home (not including your household, volunteers and workers) Restaurants and cafes to provide takeaway or home delivery service only All non-essential businesses to close; cinemas, entertainment and recreation venues, hairdressers, gyms etc Places of worship to close Schools will close from Tuesday, except for children of essential workers Childcare to remain open 20 people can attend funerals, 10 people can attend weddings. You must carry a face mask with you at all times when you leave h...ome, unless you have a lawful reason not to. You must wear a mask in indoor spaces, such as: shopping centres, supermarkets, retail outlets and indoor markets hospitals and aged care facilities hospitality venues such as restaurants and cafés (not required for patrons while seated; customer facing staff only) churches and places of worship libraries indoor recreational facilities and gyms (except if doing strenuous exercise) indoor workplaces (where safe to wear a mask and you can’t physically distance) public transport, taxis and rideshare, including waiting areas and queues for this transport airports and travelling on planes. It is strongly recommended you wear a mask outdoors if you are unable to stay more than 1.5m distance from other people, such as busy walkways and thoroughfares. Masks do not need to be worn in some circumstances, including children under 12 years, where people have certain medical conditions, and in workplaces where it is not safe to do so. 04.01.2022 COVID-19 update for Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounds In response to recent positive COVID-19 cases, a range of measures have been put in place for the below local government areas across greater Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounds. Brisbane City Ipswich City Logan City... Scenic Rim Somerset Region Lockyer Valley Moreton Bay Redland City The below measures come into effect immediately: Gatherings in private homes and public spaces will be restricted to a maximum of 10 people. These limits do not apply to businesses operating under a COVID Safe plan. Residential aged care and disability accommodation facilities have restrictions on visitors and residents leaving the facility Hospitals have been asked to restrict visitors as soon as possible Hospital emergency departments, aged care facilities and disability accommodation facilities will use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including face masks and gloves to treat all patients and residents. Extra restrictions have also been put in place for movement and gatherings in all other Queensland areas outside of the above listed local government areas.
