16.01.2022 Did you know your warranty often isn’t valid on tapware, very common on most houses? What is normal household water pressure in Australia? This water pressure is often well over 800kPa, and too often over 1000 kPa. However, the maximum recommended pressure for a residence is 500 kPa which is a requirement to meet the Australian Standards AS/NZS 3500 2003. AS/NZS 3500 states that the maximum water supply pressure at any outlet within a building must not exceed 500kpa. In this situation pressure-limiting valves should be installed. With pressure greater than 500kpa this means that warranty claims may not be honoured where excessive water pressure is evident. See us about a pressure reduction valve for new tapware.
