16.01.2022 Join us this Friday 30th October at 2pm - the last day of the Walktober Challenge - for a walk from the Pier (by the Boat Club) to the Lions Park pavilion where afternoon tea will be available for participants. You can hand in your log sheet while you are there, or drop it into the House the following week. Please remember to wear a mask!

15.01.2022 Congratulations to all who participated in the Neighbourhood House Walktober Challenge 2020 - we are excited to announce Loch Sport won! We walked a combined total of 4315674 steps!! Ryan from Gippsport will be visiting the House on Wednesday 2nd December at 11am to present the shield. We would love you to come and celebrate this awesome effort - hope you can make it :)

11.01.2022 St John Ambulance Victoria is transporting vulnerable people to and from COVID-19 testing sites throughout Victoria. You can access this service through the Loch Sport Community House. Who is this service for? Those who are unable to make their own way safely to a testing centre, for example the elderly, those who are incapacitated or cannot drive Passengers must be able to walk up three steps or be able to get into a sedan vehicle Who Are the Drivers?... All drivers are St John Ambulance Volunteers who are: First Aid Trained have a current National Police Check have current Working With Children Check. All appropriate PPE is worn, including face masks. All vehicles are fitted with defibrillators and first aid kits. Hours of Operation: Seven days a week from 8.30am 7.00pm (subject to availability) See more

07.01.2022 Loch Sport Transfer Station extended hours Wellington Shire Council has extended the operating hours of the Loch Sport Transfer Station during the Christmas holiday period. Council urges all those residing in Loch Sport during the summer to abide by the law when it comes to waste disposal. It is never OK to dump rubbish.... Normal operating hours for the Loch Sport Transfer Station can be found online at www.wellington.vic.gov.au/waste In addition to the regular hours, Council will open the facility every Wednesday from 12pm-5pm, from 30 December until 27 January 2021. Please utilise the waste disposal facilities so we can keep Loch Sport beautiful for everyone.

03.01.2022 The 2020 Wellington Neighborhood House Walktober Challenge is on again. Loch Sport Community House was the winner of this challenge for the last two years - we need to defend our title! Register now by calling the House 5146 0145 to go into a draw for a $20 voucher from Lochy Coffee Commencing Monday 19th October until Friday 30th October, record your steps for the two weeks. The steps are then tallied together and the wining house will be announced based on the number of steps per House. The winning House will be named on the perpetual trophy which will be presented at a healthy morning tea at the House in the week commencing Monday 16th November 2020.
