25.01.2022 Todays winner Robyn with 36 points....woo hoo

25.01.2022 The Clubhouse is looking amazing and getting close to finishing (hopefully by Christmas). The budget is really tight and in order for us to furnish the Clubhouse we are seeking community assistanceagain. We have sourced tables & chairs which we feel will make a huge difference to the ambience of the Club and be very welcoming and we would like to offer the community the opportunity to have their name, their family’s name or their business name on a plaque on a table and leav...e a lasting impression on the members & visitors to the Club. We are offering 2 opportunities to assist: The first is a table only for a cost of $150 The second is table & 4 chairs for a cost of $400. If you feel this is too much for you but would still like to help, maybe a couple of families could get together we are happy to acknowledge all participants on a plaque to be attached to the table top. If you think you can help please contact the Secretary, Robyn Bate on 0427 844 496 or Treasurer, Trish Garnham on 0400 451 916 Thank you See more

23.01.2022 Loch Sport Golf Club is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grant from LVA to allow us to build our new clubhouse. Thank you to all who have assisted & we will keep you posted as work progresses. Exciting times ahead.

22.01.2022 Golf Australia is encouraged that our events will get underway soon and we look forward to scheduling event opportunities for every level of golfer to enhance golfers experiences and engagement in the game, and to showcase the game. Sadly however, it is with regret that Golf Australia, in conjunction with the events host, Loch Sport Golf Club, advises the 2020 Vic Sand Greens Championships have been cancelled. The event was due to be played on 29-30 August 2020.... With the COVID-19 situation, various factors guided the decision: Lack of certainty by the golfing community who attend the event which impacts travel and rental bookings; Potentially reduced discretionary spending in the broader community, which may result in a fewer number of competitors; A potential COVID-19 health risk to the Loch Sport community with a large influx of visitors to the area; Limited sponsorship for the event due to restricted business operations by potential sponsors; Potential COVID-19 government restrictions which may compromise the event, such as large social gatherings. Whilst this decision is unfortunate, the club and Golf Australia did not wish to put the community at risk. Additionally, with the 2020 event being the first in the events new-look format, with men and women playing at the same time at the same venue Golf Australia and Loch Sport Golf Club were keen to present the event in the best possible light. It was felt that restrictions around COVID-19 would hinder our delivery of some aspects of the event which may diminish the competitor experience. We are pleased to announce however, that Loch Sport Golf Club will host the event in 2021, from 28-29 August. Whilst the circumstances for this year are unfortunate, we look forward to a wonderful event in 2021.

18.01.2022 We are at lock-up. The building looks amazing and cant thank Brian & the boys from BLA Constructions enough. We are now up to internal frame work and this will take some time as the ceilings, walls & rooms etc all have to be framed & wrapped & insulated before sheetrock goes on. Will keep the pics coming but they wont be as exciting for a while. You can also see the view from the balcony in these and some kangaroos just happened to hop past as I clicked...what an amazing place we live in

10.01.2022 FACE MASKS A MUST AS OF 3rd AUGUST. Its great to be back playing golf again and we all remember the frustration when the courses were locked down earlier this year. While we can still play in fours and not have the restrictions imposed on us as the city courses have, the Government has mandated that face masks must be worn by anyone on a Golf Course as of Monday 3rd August. Its a small price to pay to keep our courses open. Please do your bit.

08.01.2022 The Premier has announced that from 11.59 pm Sunday (August 2), ALL Victorians, including regional Victorians, will need to wear a mask or similar face covering when out of the house. Full details of what this entails are yet to be provided but some information is available here: www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au Please note that this applies to all players whilst on course or in the clubhouse unless you have a lawful reason for not doing so (these lawful reasons can be found on dhhs website www.dhhs.vic.gov.au) Thank you for your understanding and lets work to keep each other safe.

08.01.2022 To all our members... Club championships will be played as follows: Day 1- Sat 3rd Oct in conjunction with monthly medal Day 2 - Sat 10th Oct Day 3 - Sun 11th Oct We understand that our Melbourne based members will be unable to play, however the match committee felt that this was the best solution at this time.

04.01.2022 The golf club members were very sad to hear of the passing of Lionel Borrett yesterday. Lionel was a long time member, a life member and a past president of 5 years. He was a tireless worker on the course in his earlier years and continued to play golf well into his 80's. Lionel entertained us with his stories of the past, he was very witty, one of natures gentlemen. He will be sadly missed but leaves lots of good memories. Condolences to Pat and family
