21.01.2022 Lockhart SS was a sea of colour this afternoon. We celebrated end of term and attendance awards with Rainbow Day and a Colour Run. Our kids, staff and families all had so much fun. A big thank you to all the families that came to watch and support their kids. An even bigger thank you to Sir Steve for organising the event and all the staff who pitched in too. We have so many fun activities for students to enjoy: face painting... rainbow craft rainbow foods bin painting competition rainbow games and relays We will finish tomorrow afternoon with an AWESOME COLOUR EXPLOSION! Come to school early to get your white T-shirt, join in the activities and win prizes! This morning Lockhart State School wanted to say thank you to the Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council's Road Crew and Workers for all their hard work keeping the roads in tip top condition in and out of community. Thanks fellas! These guys are role models for our students by showing up to work everyday and doing their best. A big thank you to Cape York Employment Regional Director Charlie Street for cooking the BBQ and all our LSS Staff for serving up the food. Many hands make light work. 06.01.2022 On Rainbow Day we celebrated our students who have consistently high attendance and those who have improved their school attendance. Well done to you all!! We also drew the winners for Terms 1 - 3 Police Awards. Students who won the weekly Teddy Po Po Awards were placed in the draw to win one of three deadly prizes.
