25.01.2022 In WA there are licensing laws when it comes to Security and Installation of certain devices and prescribed locking mechanisms. You should make sure you are hiring a PROPERLY LICENSED professional when hiring someone for your security needs. Just because you can buy locks from the local hardware doesn't mean they will be suitable, and just because you can hire an unlicensed anybody or DIY doesn't mean it's a good idea. These things can impact your security and your Insurances.... "Under Regulations 27, Security Installers are divided into 4 classes: Class 1: Install, maintain and repair safes, vaults and locks of a kind prescribed in Regulation 6. Class 2: Install, maintain and repair security alarms, closed circuit television for security purposes, equipment and devices prescribed in Regulation 8. 24.01.2022 Be mindful about YOUR security, and develop GOOD SECURITY HABITS. Have good quality locks installed by a Licensed Professional (this can impact your insurance if you choose rubbish locks & an unlicensed installer) KEYLOCK your security screen doors & Deadlocks and REMOVE the keys - even when at home! (keep in an easily accessible place away from windows, and out of sight). NEVER NEVER NEVER leave a key: under a mat, plant-pot, in a meter-box, mailbox, on door-frame etc. CRO...OKS know all these places too. If you need to leave a Key outside, get a good quality KEY-SAFE installed. Remove keys from WINDOW LOCKS, keep handy but hidden from sight. Better still...have a Licensed LOCKSMITH key your window locks alike (preferably to your front door key). You'd be amazed how convenient it is to have all your locks on the one keyway, and just keep a few copies in strategic places (including giving one to a trusted relly or friend, in case you lock yourself out or need them to access your home). 23.01.2022 Point 1) Economical also, because you don't have to pay twice (to fix the cheap one's mess), replace the cheap-rubbish locks the cheap one has put on, and there are no hidden costs like the cheap ones usually have. As well as...a Licensed, REAL Locksmith is not likely to come back and rob you, using your key, which is a HUGE risk when you hire the cheap ones. (AKA; NOT REAL Locksmiths)

20.01.2022 THIS is why you should take YOUR security seriously. Have good quality, appropriate LOCKS fitted on all your doors and windows, by a real, Professional Locksmith and USE THEM. Imagine waking up to a total stranger roaming around YOUR house while you sleep, and threatening you with a weapon (or worse). Horrifying!

19.01.2022 Most people have security screen doors these days, but DON'T LOCK THEM, which can put people in danger from unexpected visitors. If you have a Security screen door, PLEASE keep it KEY LOCKED when at home - or while away from home.(Snibs can be opened through normal screens, so snibs are not enough security).

19.01.2022 When you hire a Tradie, ALWAYS check their credentials. This is especially important when hiring someone to work on your LOCKS or other SECURITY. Make sure you hire a REAL, Police Licensed Locksmith. You don't want a Scammer or unlicensed-anybody coming back later when you're not home and having access to your home or business.

19.01.2022 "I have a lock, can you put it on my door"? Is a question we often get asked. The answer involves...Footprints. When locks are installed there is a bit of measuring & drilling involved to fit THAT lock, so when you want to replace it with a different one, some will fit or cover the old footprint and some just won't. Best to ask a trained, licensed & experienced Professional Locksmith BEFORE you go and buy that shiny, new lock you just saw, rather than being disappointed when you learn that it won't fit, or will cost more to make it fit.

18.01.2022 People want a bargain, but when it comes to their SECURITY cheaping out can be a huge problem for them, as scammers will take advantage. People will pay huge amounts for decor, landscaping, and other things, but somehow a dirt-cheap lock and a $50 "locksmith" are all they need for good home security???? Our prices are reasonable, but as a REAL, Police-licensed, insured, experienced LOCKSMITH, who guarantees my work, I will NOT work for $50 and will NOT provide rubbish locks for my customers. You always know up-front what my pricing is and there are no nasty surprises.

16.01.2022 Some good tips here, although you don't have to go through the expense of "changing the barrels" when a more inexpensive re-key can be done by a qualified Locksmith.

16.01.2022 7 out of 10 cars are stolen with their own keys....Most people have all their keys on ONE key-ring, so the household security is GONE not just the car. Keys are often left right near the door, making it SUPER EASY for the thieves. A Stolen car, or cost to have new car keys done, AND your entire house, (and sometimes business premises) Re-keyed,...and very often this happens at night or on the weekend, or on a Public Holiday, so the $$$ keep rising. When just a few SIMPLE preventative HABITS can save all this expense and hassle. Be SMART and SAFE, not sorry.

13.01.2022 Why you should ALWAYS LOCK your home, even when at home, and NEVER leave a key in any of those places everyone knows about (under a rock, pot-plant, in meter box etc). Get into the habit of key-locking your security screen doors & deadlocks. Then remove the key and put it it in a safe place where you can easily find it (not near the window or door if there is glass that can be broken for access).

10.01.2022 SO much safer & cheaper to have a real Locksmith do a survey, advise you and Install GOOD quality, APPROPRIATE Locking systems and conduct regular maintenance. Re-keying is always advised when tenants move out of more permanent rentals also.

08.01.2022 Why don't we have more reviews? 1) Because we believe in being completely ethical in our business, and will NEVER pay SEO companies to do fake reviews, or 'click farmers' or have others post fake reviews. These are deceitful and unethical as far as we are concerned. 2) If a customer feels we have done a good job and taken care of them well, then they are very welcome to leave a review if they want to (most people don't even think about doing that though), but we won't go prom...pting them to do it. 3) Customers will often tell us that they are happy with our service but don't think about leaving a review, that is perfectly fine, it's nice to be thanked. Would we like more, positive reviews online? 08.01.2022 SECURITY: Don't DIY or leave this to an unlicensed handyman (some are licensed, just make sure they are). You are NOT SECURE with rubbish cheap locks fitted by an unlicensed "anybody". Good quality locks installed by Licensed, experienced, Professional REAL Locksmiths are always your best option - are under warranty and should last (and work properly) for many years. Remember...You need a Plumber for your plumbing...an Electrician for your electrics...and a Locksmith for your Locks

04.01.2022 It's criminal, and affects our industry as well as the public, but in all honesty...who would EVER think someone charging a "flat rate" call out fee of $45 on a Sunday could be anything but a scammer? These people get away with ripping people off because their victims are lured by a cheap price. That $45 to $50 call out fee can cost you much more than the inflated amount you are eventually charged, as the report said, these crooks are a massive security risk. REAL Locksmiths are Police checked, fingerprinted and LICENSED!
