This is not over yet and we need to remain vigilant by practising good hand hygiene, following social distancing rules at all times, wearing a face mask when outdoors and getting tested if you are unwell. We are now based in East Gippsland in a beautiful little village called Metung. ...We stand on land of the Gunaikurnai people whom are the traditional owners and pay our respects to them. We have moved into a property which is surrounded by beautiful Australian native trees and birds singing songs. We look forward to creating pieces for you featuring flora that has fallen from these trees and hopefully welcoming you into our gallery and work space soon. 14.01.2022 Yesterday, the Global Wellness Institute’s - Hot Springs Initiative held a Global Live Soak event. The Metung Hot Springs joined ten countries from around the ...world. The event was streamed live on www.soakember.com and can be watched as a replay. Though we are separated by oceans, hot spring communities around the world recognise that we’re all connected by water. A big thank you to Lightfoot & Sons Wines for the use of their vat and barrels.

12.01.2022 As part of bushfire recovery plans, all levels of government will be looking for projects that have community support and will make a difference to the long-ter...m economic outcomes for our region. I believe upgrading the East Gippsland Rail Trail is a project that can deliver social and economic benefits for years to come. What do you think? The rail trail stretches 100km from Bairnsdale to Orbost and touches several fire-impacted communities such as Nicholson, Bruthen, Nowa Nowa and Wairewa. I secured $100,000 to re-seal the section from Bairnsdale to Nicholson but theres other sections with are very rough and require improvements. For example, we could seal the first few kilometres out of each town on the route to encourage family recreational use, and then re-sheet the rough sections to make it more accessible for hybrid and mountain bikes for serious riders. We could also link the trail to Lakes Entrance for the first time which would increase its economic value... the planning was done years ago! When you add some significant bridge, drainage and other upgrades, a few million dollars of government funding would go a long way to redeveloping the trail to a standard that attracts visitors and gives locals an amazing outdoor exercise option. Interested in your thoughts. Is this a bushfire recovery project that you think can deliver benefits for years to come, if I can get the Federal and State Governments to come on board? #lovegippsland

My wife had quiche and salad, whilst I had a warm chicken and mango salad. Both were delicious and very well priced. We also enjoyed a mug of chai latte.
