There are usually lots of planned wattle festivals and wattle-themed markets and library activities around Australia. However due to Covid-19, National institutions and city councils are exploring other ways to celebrate this national day. For the first time, a number are lighting up landmarks in shades of yellow to wish everyone a Happy W...attle Dayat a safe distance. National institutions such as the National Gallery of Australia, Parliament House and the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra are opening up their national collections via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for us to to see what wattle is there. 23.01.2022 ESSENTIAL OILS FOR YEAST INFECTION We know that essential oils can be effective fighting fungal infections. For most people, that fungus comes in the form of yeast, which can be difficult to get rid of. One of the best ways to protect yourself is with preventative measures. There are some simple things that put you at a higher risk of a fungal infection.... A primary risk factor is the use of antibacterial products or prescription antibiotics. When you disrupt the beneficial microbes that are naturally part of your body, you leave yourself open to harmful bacterial and fungal infections. That’s one reason we use essential oils instead of antibiotics whenever we can. Another huge risk factor is the consumption of sugar. We’ve been preaching the benefits of using natural sweeteners for years, but personal comfort and health is a great reason to make a few shifts to your diet. But if you do find yourself struggling with a yeast infection you aren’t alone. And you certainly aren’t without hope. Mama Z has the perfect recipe for you below. In addition to using known antifungal essential oils for yeast infection (lavender and tea tree), you’ll notice the combination of yogurt and honey. Several research studies have proven that this honey-yogurt one-two punch is quite effective at fighting candida. For example, in 2015 an Iranian study was published evaluating how 70 women with vaginal infections responded to creams made up of yogurt and honey compared to clotrimazole, the popular antifungal medication. Outperforming the medical treatment by large margins, the researchers put it this way, This study indicated that the therapeutic effects of vaginal cream made up of yogurt and honey is not only similar with clotrimazole vaginal cream but more effective in relieving some symptoms of vaginal candidiasis! (1) YEAST INFECTION TAMPON REMEDY INGREDIENTS 2 drops lavender 2 drops tea tree tsp raw honey 1 tsp organic, plain yogurt (no flavoring, no sugar added) 2 tsps unrefined coconut oil Cotton tampon (unbleached and organic if possible) Poise pad INSTRUCTIONS Mix essential oils and coconut oil together in a glass bowl to dilute them. Pour in honey and yogurt, and mix well. Roll tampon into mixture to absorb the contents and insert into vagina before going to bed. Wear a poise pad or similar alternative to absorb discharge. Take out first thing in the morning and clean vagina in shower. Repeat every night for one week. NOTES * Coconut milk or a non-dairy substitute yogurt can work as well.
