25.01.2022 If you are a candidate in the upcoming local government election, campaigning will be a little different this year. But some things remain the same. A reminder that Council’s local law requires that a permit must be obtained before a person displays any advertising sign on Council property or land including the road reserve. As a fair and consistent approach, Council will not issue permits to any candidate for election signage in these instances. Core flute type signs may h...owever be placed on private property with the owner’s consent. No local law permit is required and it is requested that the sign is removed at the conclusion of the election campaign. Call 5494 1200 for further information.
