22.01.2022 Oberon Lodge 355 Debutante Ball This year has been a very unfortunate year for all Australians and the world. The Virus that has visited us in 2020 has been devastatingly brutal to all and sundry. The restrictions that have been placed on the Community and the Oberon RSL have been substantial. These restrictions have been put in place by the Federal Government, N.S.W. Government and N.S.W .Health for the benefit of community safety.... They restrictions placed on the Oberon RSL (and all other venues) include 100 people in the Auditorium 2 MT distancing between people People must remain seated. People must not mingle People cannot dance. The Oberon Lodge Freemason cannot have any of their ceremonies for the Debs The Freemasons of Oberon Lodge have tried to make the Ball a highlight of 2020 for Oberon’s Debs and their family and friends. It is with real regret, that the Freemasons of Lodge Oberon have made the hard decision to postpone the Deb Ball for 2020. Until current restrictions are lifted and a vaccine found we are unable to set another date. The Freemasons of Lodge Oberon thank all the Mothers and Daughters and Deb Partners for their interest and applications for this year’s ball. 19.01.2022 Lodge Oberon opening and Dedication happened on 23rd October 1920 where the lodge met was not clear ( may be some one can help ) The Minutes state the Forestry Hall where the Lodge paid 3/0 shillings a night and provide there own lighting. During 1920 to Oct 1923. The Lodge built and moved in to the current Lodge Building in Oct 1923. In November 1922 a committee was Elected to erect the hall. To finance the Building the lodge issued Debentures of 5 Pounds each with interest of 5% The land was purchased for 50 pounds. I was asked about members of Lodge Oberon. Arthur Horace Cunynghame Joined Lodge Oberon Aged 28, Master Baker, 17 December 1920. I am researching other requests.Please PM me if you have a request

15.01.2022 Hi all the preperations for our next happy meeting is proceding with the signs going in and the number that is aloud in each room being posted The kitchen is nearly complete with the hot water systems to be installed soon stay safe and keep well untill our next happy meeting

13.01.2022 Hi all an up date The Covid cleaning stage 1 has happened and the Secretary is prosecing the PW. The Kitchen rebuild is haperning The Plumber has been engaged and the job is scheduled.
