Lofty 88.9 Adel...aide Hills - Lofty Community Media Domestic Violence Is Never Acceptable Incorporated *So, here's an update. Today I had a radio interview chat with 5MU in Murray Bridge about the Men's Domestic Violence Support Group that we are trying to get up and running. Men are the invisible victims of domestic violence. There is virtually no funding for male victims of DV. Services are being slashed. So often this is put into the way too hard basket with the hope that it will just disappear. We are hoping to have the support group up and running in the next week or so. This will be held at the DVINA Centre situated at 2-1 Standen St Murray Bridge. I would like to thank Milli Anne for providing the opportunity and assistance in doing this. We are all passionate about this. We want this to succeed. We will succeed.

05.01.2022 SLOWING DOWN FOR SAFETY Local speed limits on Springs and Bald Hills Roads in Mount Barker will soon be changed to provide safer roads for all road users includ...ing cyclists and pedestrians. Speed limits will be lowered from 80 to 60kph along Springs Road (from Bald Hills Rd to Karkoo Court) and Bald Hills Road (from Springs Road to existing 50kph zone adjacent to the golf course) by the end of the year. Each location will have new signs including additional temporary advisory signage to alert drivers to the changed speed limit. Other speed reduction changes that Council are working on: 40 kph for the Mount Barker CBD 40 kph for the Hahndorf township 60 kph zone for Springs Road (Heysen Blvd roundabout to Bald Hills) 60 kph River Road (Mount Barker Road to 400m south of Mount Barker Road) 80 kph Wellington Road (east of Long Valley Road to Daniel Road)
