25.01.2022 This week our Senior and Junior groups made elephants out of recyclable materials! We spoke about one of our Girl Guide World Centres, Sangam! The senior girls engaged in interesting conversation about popular Indian dishes and watched a video that took them through Sangam itself. The junior girls enjoyed sharing random elephant facts with eachother. Did you know that elephants backs are actually very weak, so we really shouldn’t ride them? ... Enjoy some happy snaps from this week. Don’t those elephants look exquisite!

22.01.2022 Today our Ranger Guides took some time out from their lively planning to celebrate International Day of the Girl. This year the focus is My voice, our equal future. Some of the messages our girls want you to hear as part of the #teamgirl #hearmenow campaign are as follows: I want a future where....... - Everyone can go out alone without feeling unsafe - Girls aren’t discriminated against for what they wear - Everyone isn’t judged - Everyone is accepted for who they are - No profession is gender-specific and where big chain supermarkets fuse toy aisles (no boys/girls section) - Education is freely accessible for all Ask your daughters, what type of future they want using the I want a future where..... sentence prompt and add their responses below if you like. Let’s start the conversations, let’s help create lasting change.
