24.01.2022 Public Health Alert: The Glen Hotel renewed call for patrons Queensland Health is urging anyone who was at The Glen Hotel, Eight Mile Plains on Wednesday ...16 December between 11:00am and 2:30pm who has not yet been contacted by public health officials to contact 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) immediately. Contact tracers have identified patrons from bookings who either provided illegible manual sign-in information or did not check in at the venue. While waiting to hear from public health officials, you must self-quarantine and get tested for COVID-19. It’s critically important that contact tracers can identify all close contacts of a confirmed case as quickly as possible to help protect the Queensland community. We urge all Queenslanders to sign in at venues - every person needs to sign in, regardless of whether you’re in a small or large group. We thank the Glen Hotel for their assistance. To protect some of our most vulnerable patients, Logan Hospital has introduced a new health justice partnership to provide more support for patients experiencing elders abuse. ‘OPALS’ - the Older Persons Advocacy and Legal Service:... is a free service assisting people over 65+ years old or 50+ years old (for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) who receive healthcare from Metro South health services brings together lawyers, social workers and health professionals to support older patients who are at risk of or experiencing elder abuse connects patients with social work support and free legal help from OPALS lawyers, who have expertise in elder law including capacity and decision-making, domestic and family violence, elder abuse legal options, advance care planning documents, personal and financial safeguarding and family agreements. Provides legal and social work support to the patient in hospital, on the phone and at home. It’s okay to talk to someone and to ask for help. 20.01.2022 Logan Hospital's Baby of the Week Holmview's Jordan Douglas is one very proud new dad! His beautiful new little man Arthur arrived on November 6 and will likely spend the next six weeks or so in the Special Care Nursery getting bigger and stronger to hopefully be home in time for Christmas. Arthur is baby number one for Jordan and mum Caitlyn who were married in March - just before COVID and its restrictions hit, so it's been a big and exciting year for the Douglas family.... Congratulations from everyone at Logan Hospital. Arthur is absolutely beautiful!

The project has generated 11,175 hours of work for trades so far, including 2687 hours on building formwork and 1544 hours on concrete pumping and laying. 18.01.2022 Logan Hospital's Baby of the Week This gorgeous little blue bundle of joy has been given the name his proud dad was going to be called. Baby Iluca was born on 19 November and is now home with mum Jazmyne and dad Joshua - and they couldn't be happier.... Jazmyne received care at the Maternity Hub at Browns Plains and her new little man was delivered safe and sound at Logan Hospital. We wish this beautiful family much health and happiness. Congratulations!

16.01.2022 Logan Hospital (Returning) Baby of the Week We love nothing more than visits from our past patients and little Azara dropped by our Special Care Nursery this week to show our staff just how big she is now! Born on October 6 weighing just 1200g, Azara has now reached 3040g on her actual due date of December 11.... Mum Firona said Azara's big brother, 13 and sister 12 had been a huge help since she arrived home three weeks ago. It is wonderful to see you growing so big and strong Azara! Thank you for visiting!
13.01.2022 Today, our 38.9-metre tower crane for the new multi-level car park was officially knighted as "Sir Lift-a-Lot" The brain-child behind the name - Kai, age 7 - joined us on site to unveil the name and to receive a special crane of his own. Kai tells us the name is "cute" and "explains what he does". We received 50 entries from primary school children from 30 schools across Logan, and of the five finalists, Sir Lift-a-Lot was the favourite as voted by you.... 11.01.2022 Logan Hospital's Baby of the Week Lips pursed and ready for a kiss from adoring mum and dad Leah and Tim. Baby Miles was born on October 31 - a little earlier than the Hillcrest couple was expecting - but their beautiful blue bundle of joy is healthy and happy.... Leah said they were excited to take their first baby home soon but until then, it's lots of Special Care cuddles. Congratulations!
07.01.2022 Logan Hospital Baby + Baby of the Week The excitement of Christmas was just too much for beautiful little Jacob and Harrison who arrived a little bit early to celebrate with mum and dad. The blue bundles of joy are the first babies for Zoe and Steven, who only moved to Jimboomba from Gladstone one week before the big arrival.... Now they are close to all their family who couldn't be more thrilled with the new additions who are doing well in our Special Care Nursery. Congratulations!

05.01.2022 Logan Hospital's Baby of the Week It was little Orrin and Orson's first chance to be together since they were born on October 9 and mum Emma was over the moon to see them side-by-side. The gorgeous little identical twins are the first babies for Rochedale South couple Emma and Michael.... "They are feeding well and growing," Midwife Jen said. Hopefully it will be no time and pair will be heading home for lots of love and attention from family and friends.
