15.01.2022 Hi to you Gorgeous Goddesses of Logan Red Tent, Grill’d at Brown’s Plains has raised $300 on our behalf as part of their Community Matters program. These funds will be used to pay for our insurance and other sundry items for the next year! Therefore, we are organising a gathering for lunch at their store to pick up our cheque and share in fellowship and photo opportunities. This is great way to bring further attention to our fabulous Red Tent network and advertise some of t...he wonderful work we do. Please let me know by Friday morning if you are able to join us there at Browns Plains Grill’d store at 12 midday for a very tasty lunch, so I can give them an idea of numbers. 13.01.2022 Hi to all who’d like to experience the fun and friendship that grows around drumming circles! Drumming has many powerful healing benefits such as slowing your pulse rate, lowering blood pressure and stimulating connections between the two halves of your brain, just for starters! It is both energising and relaxing at the same time and is known to induce a happy state of mind that can assist some to overcome anxiety and depression. 10.01.2022 Hello Ladies! I'm calling for expressions of interest - my usual camping site is booked out for 14/15 September which is when I plan to have the first retreat o...f the season. So for something almost completely different what do you think about a 2 hour boat trip (chartered) to an island to camp (no campfire unfortunately), a different kind of programme as I will be setting up the tents while you do some exploring or just enjoying the beach. We will still do meditations, bush art, bush walk, drumming and conversations in circle and probably some foot massage. And of course still lovely vegetarian food! Not only some woman, but ALL women, from ALL backgrounds and ALL walks of life. We are learning every day how better to do this. We grow, we fall, we talk and we get back up again stronger and ready to try again. It's what we dream about and it's what we are committed to continue to do as a volunteer managed, staffed and run (still very young) not for profit organisation. At this time of intense change ( 2020, what a doozie!) we changed our entire structure so our Red Tent Facilitators could continue to offer support to their communities, just as they had done in person. Looking after each other is built into the fabric of how we operate behind the scenes as much as it is in front, it's simply what we do. Remembering to look after our inner emotional world, whilst living in the often crazy outside one can be bloody hard... but how can you give from an empty cup? Turn to a trusted sister, in a safe space and share how your going... It's incredible how powerful this simple act can be. SO powerful it's the basis of everything we believe in and do. It's what we wish for every woman in Australia to experience, it's how we deal with this world. Check out the online women's circles we have on offer this month and feel how simply sitting and sharing in sisterhood can nurture that inner world.
