25.01.2022 34 DAYS TO GO.... So sorry that we havent been regularly updating like normal - other events interstate, full-time work and a new non-for-profit Tooks and I have created have been seriously draining our time. Pleased to say that registrations have been bubbling along as per normal, so I guess we must be doing something right, haha. So lets answer a few questions that we have been getting lately - ... * Medals are given to every FINISHER in the kids 1km, the 7km, 14km, 21km and 42km. A special medal is awarded to each team member in the 42km relay event as well * Trophies are awarded to the first three placegetters for both genders in all events bar the kids 1km dash. There is no prize money in this event * Singlets are an additional purchase of $20 with your registration. ALL members of the 42km relay teams however will receive a singlet as well * There will be two drink stations on the 7km loop - the start/finish area and on Demio Road (roughly 1-2km into the loop. These are run by volunteer community groups * There will be two race pack pick-up chances prior to Sunday 22nd - details will be confirmed in the coming week or so, but will be at Berrinba Wetlands as we have done every year * The singlet order will be going in on Tuesday the 20th of August at 9pm, so if you are desperate for one, please make sure you order before then * Personalised bib (quite a common question this one) - this is the 6 characters that will be displayed on your running bib when you race. Remember, only 6 characters - its just a bit of fun rather then a generic race number Thats enough for tonight but we promise to regularly post from here on in. :)

25.01.2022 HI everyone, We have been purposely quiet about this event as we have been waiting to see how COVID-19 plays out up here in the Sunshine State. At this stage, the event is still on (Sunday September 27) but will be restricted in registrartions and will be a tad different to recent years as we comply with social distancing and COVID-19 protocols.... More information will be coming - as you are aware, in recent days there is a fear of a potential outbreak in Logan, so we have to keep an eye on that now as well. Thanks, Mark and Steve

25.01.2022 Just a sneak peak of some of Sundays goodies.... At race pack pick-up, you will receive your bib and safety pins in an envelope, and if you paid the extra $20, your singlet as well. We still have a few more singlets left for $20 as well, but only in selected sizes. Post race, you will receive your finishers medal and your bag of goodies.

23.01.2022 HI everyone, We are pleased to announce that this years Logan Running Festival is officially SOLD OUT! The 2019 has the most entries we have ever had in the five years we have been running so thank you to everyone who has supported us and especially those that keep coming back!... I have about 30 emails to answer from 5pm Friday, so I will get to you shortly. There is a waiting list (the half marathon is the clear favourite) and I have been adding to this list as I receive emails. Also please note that we opened registrations on the 26th of February this year, Almost seven months ago. Thanks everyone and see you in just under 7 days!

23.01.2022 Hi everyone, Hope you are recovering well from this morning, thanks so much for supporting the event. Its been a 14 hour day for us so we are putting up our feet and joining you... I will post more photos a bit later but can we just say a massive thank you to all the runners and 2 junior netball clubs that ran the water stations today, MC Mario and Caitlin from Timing Results. But most of all, the biggest of shout outs to our tireless volunteers, Shanon, Natasha, Nicole, K...aryn, Ian, Dave and Sami for helping out today. 22.01.2022 Hey everyone, It is with great sadness that we have to CANCEL the 2020 version of the Logan Running Festival, scheduled for Sunday September 27. COVID-19 has messed with so many lives in so many ways around the world, with events just being a small example of that.... Some of your favorite events have had to cancel this year and we are sorry to be adding to the list. We needed to order medals, shirts etc this week due to extended production and delivery times due to the global pandemic, but with 51 entries to date, that unfortunately is not possible. Its a massive guessing game with ordering at the best of times, but given this event normally attracts 400+ runners, we would be purely speculating and taking a massive financial risk in ordering shirt sizes and individual distance medals. As you can imagine given the year we have all endured, sponsorship dollars have dried up, there is still caution as to the risk of a second wave of COVID in SEQLD, and social distancing plans for events of 500 or more (runners plus spectators, volunteers and staff) are stringent and costly. All 51 registered runners will receive an email shortly regarding their refunds or credit transfer to the 2021 LRF event or similar event that we will be announcing shortly for November / December 2020 (COVID-19 dependant). So sorry to be the bearers of bad news, its obviously not what we wanted to do. Kind regards, Steve & Mark

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, 12 DAYS TO GO!! So not sure what has happened in the past three days, but we have had 78 entries since Saturday evening!!... We ordered more then we ever have this year in anticipation of roughly the same numbers as last year, however we passed that mark on Saturday. So this post is a heads up that we only have the following spots available for Sunday the 22nd - 7km - 15 spots left 14km - 6 spots left 21km - 7 spots left 42km - 5 spots left 42km Relay - 2 teams of up to 6 left This ensures EVERY single person registered gets a medal, bib, truckers cap, mobile phone case and shopping bag. 14.01.2022 Hi everyone, Just two things to note in regards to the singlets. They are not part of your registration pack, they are an extra $20 to order. This is why the rego question says -... "As in previous years, we give runners the option of buying a limited edition singlet for $20. If you would like to purchase one, what is your singlet size?" We currently have 24 people who have nominated a singlet size but havent selected the singlet as part of their registration. I am emailing those people today.... :) :) Also, and this is one for our lovely ladies - when ordering your singlet, would it please be possible to pop down Ladies or Womens 6 or 8 or 10 or 12 or 14 or 16 or 18 or 20 etc, rather then small, medium, large, XL etc please? Its just a small thing to save time for us and for our volunteers on the day... Thanks so much

14.01.2022 14 DAYS TO GO..... Just a quick one that personalised bib cut off is this Monday at midday. We need time to print them off, send and receive, pop timing chips on all and then pop them in named envelopes with safety pins. Its a bit of a job..

13.01.2022 Sorry for the spam everyone, just thought I would throw this out there.... INTRODUCING the FIRST EVER marathon to the dead centre of Australia - the Lambert Research Centre! Never before have runners had a chance to run to Australias official centre - plenty have run around Uluru or up and down the Larapinta Trail, but no one has run to the Lambert statue!... So pleased to announce that Cockle Creek, Cape York and now Lambert Centre are all ON SALE, with hopefully Byron Bay and Steep Point to be announced in the New Year. The event date is Sunday September 27 at Berrinba Wetlands, but here are a raft of new improvements - * Introduction of an All Abilities Events to be held at 9.30am after Berrinba Park Run on Saturday September 26. This will be a one lap 7km event open to anyone and everyone of all abilities. More information to follow shortly....... * Introducing an officially Certified 42.195km marathon course * The Mixed Team Entries are back but this time.....with PRIZE MONEY for the first three teams to cross the line! Again, minimum 3 runners, maximum 6 runners, all genders, including a special team medallion, micro fleece long sleeve, beanie with head lamp and all the other goodies! * Returning are the 42km, 21km, 14km and 7km plus as always the Kids 1km dash! Please note the that the 42k Relay also starts with the normal 42k event.... In regards to the wait list, it is fairly full - if you are contacting me today, to be honest, you are behind a lengthy que sorry. I have actually been replacing people the past two nights that are on the wait list, with injured people, so there is a glimmer of hope for you. 07.01.2022 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 days is a superhuman feat! I think most impressive is they started in summer conditions in Cape Town, then to below freezing conditions in Antarctica and on to stifling heat in Perth in the matter of 3 days!!
