25.01.2022 Our covid safe Logan Tri Club Duathlon is back. Our team members will be running and cycling their way to hopefully take out a PB in our club Duathlon event. Not only do we attend races, the club puts on our own events at no extra cost to members. Good luck to our juniors today and our adults and older juniors tomorrow.

21.01.2022 Thankyou Gould Adams Park Aquatic Centre for having the team back. After some hibernating we are back to weekly swimming. Keen to join the swim squad? Fees have been reduced to join the club. Plus we do not charge per session training fees. It's a win win situation

05.01.2022 Look what South East Cycles is now stocking - just in time for Christmas. With the current climate, Brendan has limited bikes left - get in quick before they are sold out. If you are planning on any bike maintenance - make sure you plan well ahead before any upcoming races as the shop has been very busy. As always - stop by and say hello and thank one of our amazing sponsors for keeping so many riding. We know it's been a hectic year.
05.01.2022 With a sell out event yesterday at the Robina Triathlon, it was a large turnout from Logan Triathlon Club for both juniors and adults. A number of podiums with a special mention to Penny who is our first junior to medal in the kool kids with a 3rd place (and icecream reward). Due to the sell out event one of our juniors Jack raced in the enticer instead of the sprint (sold out race) and came away with a in the under 16's. Plenty of medals with our adults as well. Congratulations to all who raced. By all reports it was a hot race and another great event Triathlon Queensland

02.01.2022 Adam's words A disastrous triumph. So I have been training for this race since Raby Bay last year. Raby Bay was my first triathlon and I learnt alot. Most of all I learnt that to compete I need to be able to run. I lost 4 minutes over 4k in the run last time and was pretty determined to not make that mistake again. ... So with that in mind I spent covid lock in running and running and running aaaaand running. Until I stepped off a curb and ruptured a tendon in my left ankle. Not long after that I bulged a disk shovelling gravel at home. So not ideal for the training plan. Nevertheless I kept moving and doing what I could. I slowly built up strength and was feeling really good heading into tapper. I went to work on Friday before the race and managed to turn my head to fast and impinged my c5 and c6 vertebrae. Quick trip to the phisyo on Saturday morning and I could move again. RACE DAY I was feeling good for somone with a neck injury. Racking went well and I thought I would have a walk around the transition area so as to not make any in race mistakes. Happy with that I moved on to look at the swim course. I arrived to see a bunch of people whith the same colour cap as me on the start. PANIC!!!!! drop bag cap on gogeles on. Lined up on the beach ready to go. I look to Mt left and recognise the word HEDGELAND......shit im lining up with the elite athletes. Shit no one else has a beer belly. Sheepishly turn around and walk past the hundreds of spectators. Fast forward an hour and line up on the correct start line. Ready go i hit the water and immediately lost my goggles. Took a few seconds to sort that then off again massive gulp of salt water ...choke. A few coughs later I found my max hart rate. I have never felt so horrible in the water. I swam slow and heavy in wavey lines. Lesson learned, confidence doesn't make perfect practice does. Out of the water and through transition quickly. I immediately felt strong and fast on the bike. My pace was good and I felt good. The ride was over before it began and did not hurt. The run went 100% to plan with 5 min pace being my goal as I was worried about my ankle above that pace. All and all I am very happy with my result but feel like there's a lot to improve on. It is time for me to increase the distance now. Once again thanks to the club and coaches.
