23.01.2022 Last night we hosted our monthly Mindari meeting, where all the Gold Coast Region leaders gather to learn & share ideas. We had campfire theme where we were put into patrols & had to learn a skit, song, a yell & to start a fire (lots of different ways). Then we all got to practice those things around the campfire. Amazing night! If anyone would love to join our group more than welcome to come along, to learn, to share & have some fun with the kids, you are more than welcome. ... We are looking for a few more leaders that can help build our kids knowledge in the basics of life instead of sitting in front of screens.

21.01.2022 Please share! We are looking at growing our small group at Logan Village Scout Group, so we are having a Open / Sign on day 21st March. Want to get the kids away from technology for a few hours in the week and some weekends?... Want to learn (could get a qualification), have fun and teach/show kids about some life skills, then we welcome Adult Volunteer Scout Leaders. Why Join Scouts? Scouts Queensland provides fun youth development activities, building resilient and confident boys and girls aged 5 to 25 in the Joey Scout, Cub Scout, Scout, Venturer Scout and Rover Scout Sections. Scouts Queensland has a new exciting outdoor adventure skills program, still with the traditional/core skill areas of Camping, Bushcraft and Bushwalking though. So come along and check out all the new activities that can be done through the Scouting movement. - Aquatics, Alpine, Cycling, Paddling, Boating and Vertical.

20.01.2022 If you have a passion for adventure and love seeing our children building their self-esteem, self-reliance and confidence to achieve great things then why not think about joining Scouting. Logan Village Scout Group is looking for Leaders, Committee members and Adult helpers to help grow this group so we can continue to provide adventurous and fun activities. Develop some skills yourself and maybe earn some VET qualifications. All training is provided and paid for by the Scout Group. 19.01.2022 It all happened at BP Park at Samford Valley on the weekend for 1 patrol of 4 scouts attending the annual SSS camp. It's a competition camp based on a Patrol Challenge and Standard Camping. The weekend also included a large variety of activities and a trip to see the 2019 Brisbane Gang Show! Jake (Patrol leader), Mackenzie, Jack & Sy did amazingly well, even in the rain. A couple of them even said they had lots of fun... A big thank you to Mudda (Gai) & Butch (Allan) the leaders, for helping the patrol when needed B.R.A.V.O BRAVO Falcon Patrol!!

17.01.2022 I have some bad news Someone has stolen our trailer from our Logan Village Scout Den between Tues 4th Feb after 8.30pm & Thurs 6th Feb 5pm. If you see this anyway please contact Ruth ASAP, 0401 816 817 please? It has been reported to police tonight.... REGO - EG1188 If everyone can share to get this out in the community as this is a huge blow to our group. Scouts would use this with all of our camps.

16.01.2022 The relevance of traditional Scout skills Scouts are recognized by the community for their ability to determine the best type of knot and then tie it, for their ability to use a compass to navigate to a pre-determined endpoint, for their ability to read the lay of the land from a map to determine the best route. This training becomes second nature and continues to subconsciously surface decades later in life as situations arise. We need to be careful not to treat these skills as an irrelevance in todays world for to do so means that we will have a future generation of adults without the basic skills needed, when things go to mush, to get back home from the outdoors. 11.01.2022 6 of our Logan Village Scouts & 3 Leaders camped at the den overnight & got up at 3.45am to attend this morning service. Was quite a few people attending too.

11.01.2022 Please share! We are in need of a volunteer to put up some kitchen cupboards in our den. If you can help or know of someone who can help us, please contact us by phone, email or messenger. We have purchased and put together the cupboards on our latest grant, but we are in need of a carpenter to put it altogether.... Thanks in advance!

10.01.2022 The benefits of been a volunteer Group Leader for our local Scout group is being invited along to special events. Tonight I got to go along to The Parent and Girl Guide Dinner for 2019. We have some amazing people and kids in our local community. Thank you Annette for everything you do.

08.01.2022 Last night Michelle (our Treasurer) & myself had been invited to attend the Lions Change Over Dinner for 2019. Fantastic night & food with some absolutely great local people. The Lions do amazing work in our local community & I feel privileged to be associated with this amazing group.... Huge thank you for your donation to our Logan Village Scour Group too. 06.01.2022 Logan Village Scout Group will be starting back on Friday 16th October (yes tomorrow) for the Scout section. This is for boys and girls aged 10.5 to 15yrs old. If your looking at joining Scouting we will be taking new member requests this week.

04.01.2022 Term 3 started last week for Logan Village Scouts. We look forward to seeing everyone after the break. We have a few vacancies in the Scout section and would be great to have a couple of new Scouts. The first night is free to see how awesome our Scouts are. Scout section runs every Tuesday night 6:30 - 8:30 pm through the term.
