Whilst the personal benefits to a mindfulness practice are many:... - reduction in stress - lessening of anxiety & depression - increased mental focus & clarity of mind - improved immune function - enhanced quality of sleep - balanced blood pressure - improved wellbeing... ...The benefits to a workplace, particularly over time, are also numerous: - happier, healthier employees - less absenteeism - less presenteeism - higher functioning workers - preparedness for change - improved leadership - increased staff sustainability - enhanced listening and communication - workplaces can become places of higher integrity. Sounds relevant, doesn't it?! A decade ago it would have been very uncommon for Mindfulness training to be part the modern workplace. Now however, with science allowing us to have an increased understanding of the benefits, more organisations are turning to this training for staff.
