19.01.2022 Back in 2016 we met with a young family who had out grown their home. They loved where they lived but the house was tiny and was literally falling down around them. They looked into an extension/renovation but they realised with the costs of this they could build a new house for the same price. Therefore, we set out to design and build a new functional double storey family home for them. As the existing house was weatherboard they were able to have the house ‘removed’ and t...ransported away. This is a great option which can save you lots of $$$$ in demolition. Now, four years on this house still looks amazing and the owner @_healthymumma has integrated a low tox lifestyle along with cooking her yummy healthy meals in. 18.01.2022 Over the past ten years L O'Grady Constructions has changed significantly. The most significant change has been our proposal process. Many, many years ago (before I became involved in the business) our proposal's used to be a 1-2 page document with very little detail involved. After missing a lot of important information in these documents it would sometimes cost us lots of money to pay for items that we hadn't allowed for and that weren't mentioned in these proposal's. This... was a costly and frustrating experience for us. Fast forward to our business today and with lots of hard word I am proud to say our Proposal's are exceptional. Our client's love seeing exactly what is going into their new home. The proposal is highly detailed describing the flooring, cabinetry, right down to what their door stops will look like. Every fitting and fixture is mentioned so there are no issues with what is included in the project and what isn't. NB: This document forms part of your Building contract so before signing anything you must read this document very carefully. 15.01.2022 The introduction of the "Home Builder Grant" in 2020 was a fantastic incentive for many people wanting to build or renovate. However, over the last few months I have noticed many people rushing into signing contracts without doing their due diligence on the builder and their company. This will only lead to unsatisfied customers, more bad press regarding the construction industry and increasing stresses that people definitely don't need. 13.01.2022 How to keep your marriage together while renovating or building? Lon and I are celebrating 12 years of marriage today and together we’ve renovated and built new homes a few times. 09.01.2022 Dunne Rd Bullengarook looking magnificent today drenched in sunlight Lock up is well underway. This project is using a combination of Hebel and Axon cladding. Hebel is Autoclaved Aerated Concrete. It is strong, energy efficient, eco-friendly, reduces noise and is fire resistant. Once installed the Hebel will be rendered and painted. Axon cladding is a fibre cement sheet which is durable, easy and quick to install. This has been installed vertically and will be painted.
