14.01.2022 The last Mothers Day I spent with my Mum was in 2008. I went and visited her with my then 15 month old daughter whilst 5 months pregnant with my son. I was 23. She sat at the dining room table, drinking her coffee as she always did. She could see that I was exhausted, offered me a lay down which I refused, so she told me to go home. I remember it so clearly her hugging me and telling me..... Go home and put your feet up, the washing can wait, leave the dishes, put the bab...y to bed and go and lay in the sunshine (according to my Mum the secret to a healthy and happy life was bathing in the sunshine ) Little did I know that would be the last Mothers Day we spent together. Unfortunately she passed away 10 months later but those words linger in my ear on days like today and on the days I, as a Mum, feel defeated. I love this memory but instead of going home that day, I wished I hung around longer. It was so easy to take her for granted when she had ALWAYS been there. So my wish to all those Beautiful Mummas out there today. I hope you are showered with wet kisses and little arms hug you so tightly that you take a gasp for air!! For those who get to visit their Mums today, dont think youre too old to do the same. Squeeze her tight and pour the tea. Tell her how much you love her and help her with the dishes. Let her know that she is special and that you appreciate her. Youre never too old to stop needing your Mum. . And to those who cant visit their Beautiful Mummas today or their babies, for whatever reason, I hope you leave the dishes and the washing and can join me to take a moment to reflect and find warmth and happiness in the sunshine. We had 42 boxes out today and 14 yesterday. Thanks to everyone who ordered. We loved spreading the Mothers Day love A big thanks to my gorgeous husband, for not only delivering for me today after working 6 days straight, but for spoiling me today with the kids. Thank you to our two other delivery drivers for doing the drops today in this chilly morning weather - so this mumma can drink hot coffee and snuggle with all four of her babies before heading out to catch some rays
