23.01.2022 *Opinions* My Kumu always says to people he meets "Your opinions mean shit to me". The reason being is that if you share your opinion and I share my opinion and they vary. There is a chance that there be conflict, conflict can escalate to arguments, arguments lead to poisonous words and actions, which can bring about war and divide. He is not saying to stop expressing yourself or your truth, but rather urging you to practice discernment when needed. After all you really are not your thoughts, and you are not your opinions either. So before you voice your opinion, think will this start a war? Is it expressing aloha... In Hooponopono we make sure our pathways are clear with each person we come into contact with. Not sharing your opinion in certain times can ensure our pathways are kept clear.

22.01.2022 Ohana (Family) Matters: I was talking to a lady the other day, she had complex issues involving the custody of her children. Essentially her ex-partner was using her child to hurt this lady. He was trying to get back at her because of her past actions, what she did and what she did not do. This situation all too familiar for many people, roles reversed, yet issue is the same. Often people hold the other person to the past, not wanting to forgive, thinking that that's the o...ne thing they can hold over their ex too. Yet it really is all in your head, as you believe you are hurting them as much as they hurt you, revenge in some ways. What you don't realise is the person you are hurting is yourself..... By not forgiving them (doesn't mean you have to have them in your life) you will continue to carry resentment, anger, guilt and more. If you carry these you will not be happy, it will destroy you. You must forgive to set you and the other person free, if you don't set free the other person you will not be free and clear either... If you want to be truly happy you have no choice but to forgive, no matter the circumstances. Need assistance? A traditional Ho'oponopono session can assist you. Your Foundation is your Ohana- where you came from and how your connected lines are with those people. Now that I have a child of my own, I witness every word, every action is observed, and copied. We do not realise how much we learnt from those that brought us up. We learnt how to respond, how to be in social situations, how to engage with others and the world... and much much more. So when we are confronted with things that within ourselves, that we need to shift. Through questioning I clearly see that those that brought us up were presented with the same things at some point in their life- and its not hard to see the link.....
