23.01.2022 Meet Holly the wombat - she loves long walks in the sanctuary. Yep, our wombats go for regular walks as part of their enrichment program. Daily walks are not only great exercise for our wombats, but also allows them to discover all new sights, sounds & smells! But as Keeper Beck will tell you, wombats are quite stubborn by nature, so it is often a case of our wombats walking our keepers, rather than the other way around. We hope you have your jogging legs on, Beck!

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary opened in 1927 as a safe refuge for sick, injured & orphaned koalas, at a time when the species was being culled for the fur trade. Claude recognised something had to be done to help protect one of Australia's most iconic species and now, well, here we are today! We are now the world's oldest and largest koala sanctuary, home to over 100 koalas a...nd 70 species of other native Australian animals.
