24.01.2022 A week ago was Raven’s first lesson on how to walk on a leash properly. She was pulling, lunging, and barking at everything. We cleared up her owners communication with her, and gave her good motivation. After a week of good work by her owner, she isn’t even responding to the barking dogs in the neighborhood! Well done Raven and Tanzy!

23.01.2022 Teaching Banjo to distinguish between different targets in the yard. He already understands place to be the elevated beds. Now the see saw is hop up and the touch pad is touch from a distance.

19.01.2022 Resource guarding finished. Lilo has become a little angel. This is what clear communication can achieve.

19.01.2022 Strong distraction training for Rusty the service dog. Holding your place while another dog has all the fun playing is a tough one, but he succeeded and the communication was crystal clear. Well done Rusty!

07.01.2022 Normally I’m a big fan of having a dog sit and wait for a release then let them eat their food without messing with them. Lilo here however is an extreme case. She was resource guarding so badly she would charge at people trying to bite them just for walking past her while eating. This is her second meal here and it was about 50% mince which is as high of a value resource I could find for her. The idea here is to convince her that the food is MINE, and she can only have it when I allow it. Very much as it would be in a pack, there is no arguing over food, it’s mine until I say it’s not. She’s doing great and I think she’ll have a wonderful life with her loving family now.

06.01.2022 Diesel out doing some wheeling exercises in the real world. He did great considering this was his first time out with unknown dogs, people, and skateboards (hear them?) Good doggo Diesel!

04.01.2022 Roxy four days into her board and train program at a dog park off leash. Her confidence in herself, and me, is high enough she is obeying commands even in proximity of dogs she’s never met.
