25.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Some good news during this difficult Covid-19 lockdown period. The latest figure for cases is 42, another day under 50 - well done Victoria. The better news is that zero deaths were recorded!! Let's keep up the good work and follow the rules, particularly wearing our face masks. 24.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2020: If you would like to join our Annual General Meeting via Zoom at 12 noon on Thursday 28th May, please send an email to - [email protected] and a link for this meeting will be sent to you prior to the meeting.

23.01.2022 Stage 4 restrictions have undoubtedly been an extremely diificult time for our entire community. However, the latest number of new cases of Covid-19 have reduced dramatically as a result of the lockdown. Although this has been a tough time, Victorians are made of tough stuff and we will get through this together and come out the other side stronger and wiser. The Staff and Committee of Longbeach PLACE would like to let you know that we are thinking of you all. Keep up the go...od work. Stay at home if possible, and "mask up" if you need to go out. 23.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: As of 11:59pm on Wednesday 8th July, Longbeach PLACE will go into lockdown as per directions from the Premier of Victoria. Therefore, the Centre will be completely closed to everyone. At this stage, the lockdown is expected to last for six weeks, which means Longbeach PLACE won't be able to reopen until approximately the end of August - we will notify you if anything changes in this regard. 17.01.2022 IT'S TIME FOR SOME GOOD NEWS! Longbeach PLACE will be reopening our doors to the public from 9:30am on Monday 22 June. Please go to our website - www.longbeachplace.org.au - and click on the Covid-19 icon on the front page to read the letter regarding the start dates of the various groups/programs that are run at our Centre. Also, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the letter outlines the precautions and procedures that must be adhered to whilst at Longbeach PLACE, in accordance with V...ictorian Government restrictions. There is also a link on the Covid-19 page that will take you to the current restrictions outlined on the Department of Health and Human Services website. 12.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE: As of 21st June, Longbeach PLACE now has a building capacity of 20 people but this will NOT affect the meeting of the groups due to room capacity dimensions and very limited group crossover. 10.01.2022 Hi Everyone, It is pleasing to see that the daily numbers for Covid-19 in Victoria are finally reducing. However, we all still need to play our part and adhere to the Stage 4 Restrictions. We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone, particularly for the older members of our Community and those who are also battling pre-existing illnesses/issues. Victorians on the whole have proved that we can "hang tough" during such extraordinarily difficult times. The Staff... and Committee of Longbeach PLACE are thinking of you all and sending positive thoughts your way. We can't wait to see you again in person at the Centre in the not too distant future.
