12.01.2022 Longboard would like thank all of our loyal Longboarders that dined in our new 40 seat restaurant last week. Change is always good and after yesterdays announcement we will slowly be increasing our capacity over the weekend. We have extended our time slots to 90 minute reservations, however, we unfortunately cannot have groups larger than 8 guests per reservation. If you need to cancel or amend your reservation please pick up the phone and call us! Alternatively, you can ca...ncel or amend your reservation yourself via the confirmation email you receive when making a booking. Unfortunately, we have had 10% of our reservations not show up. This really hurts as every human counts. We have worked hard to create a safe environment and have been very strict with all the government regulations in trying to do the right thing. We do not want to change policies to walk-ins only, minimum spends, credit card deposits or even set menus. These policies are definitely not the Longboard style and we do not want to go down this route! We are so looking forward to this next stage and accommodating more guests for longer time periods. 09.01.2022 Longboard would just like to say a huge thanks to all of our guests who dined in last week. To say we were fully booked is a bit unfair but rather the truth is we were just at capacity so big apologies to all the reservations we could not accommodate. Turning a 240 seat bar and grill into a 20 seat restaurant has met us with many challenges. As of Friday night we have moved to a maximum of 40 guests which feels a bit better. Our time slots on offer are 75 minutes in len...gth, although we do have a late lunch reservation from 2.30pm-3.30pm for a little sesh. With limited capacity we are running with limited staff and will only be open 5 days a week at least until Stage 3. This is not the Longboard style and as government restrictions are lifted we will continue to change our policies as well. We are in this for the long haul and we really appreciate everyones support, patience and understanding during these times. P.S. please show up for your reservation! 05.01.2022 Attention to all our guests: Things are changing in the country on a daily basis. Queensland is NOT back but we are moving forward. Longboard is only able to operate at less than 50% of our normal (pre COVID) capacity. It is unfortunate that we have to write this post, however, we need to address a few very important points. ... We truly understand that everyone is a little over it or possibly confused by some of the new restrictions but we assure you that the situation at hand hurts us more but it is incredibly important that customers help us adhere to government restrictions. These restrictions were not imposed by Longboard, we are merely following the direction of the government. We ask that if you have a reservation with us you show up on time and with the amount of guests you have booked for (no more, no less). Unfortunately, if you arrive to your reservation with more guests than you have booked for we will be unable to seat the additional guests as we have a venue capacity limit. ALL customers must sign in (not just one customer per table). We have two avenues for COVID sign in. You can utilise Guest HQ by scanning our QR code with the camera on your phone and filling in your details. Alternatively, we have private paper copies of these forms available as well. Refusal to comply with staff directives about signing in will mean you will be asked to leave. Lastly, but most importantly! Our staff are doing everything they can to ensure we are following government directives to protect customers and employees. Please be patient and kind to them as they are just doing their job.
