24.01.2022 Hello again, A wonderful week for growing out here at the farm, and the results are very apparent in the strawberry fields. The fruit is amazing at present, magnificent colour, shape and most importantly, taste. On the other hand, I expect that ths week will be the end of the blackberries. There are plenty there to pick, but they are smaller. This weekend, just $10 - come and pick them clean.... A new batch of strawberry and blackberry jam today, and also another 12 bottles of our strawberry chilli mountain pepperberry chutney. Don't miss out! More treats in The Van too, including lots more ice-cream. Sunflowers!!! Only 15 tickets left for the great Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday 28th March! This is going to be a great day, so make sure it's in your diary - all the proceeds of the day are going to our own Toosey Hospital, so it's a good time to be generous... Tickets only from here... A quick mention about lost property... my latest acquisition is a backpack full of transformer type toys and an under 6 Little athletics trophy. The toys I can play with, but it's a long time since I was 6! Finally, share the post and have the chance to be a weekly winner. Open at 9:30, till 4. See you over the weekend, we hope. Cheryl and Dennis.

23.01.2022 Hi, It's getting closer to the end of the school holidays, so tomorrow is the perfect time to gather up the kids and rock on out to the berry farm for a visit. And there are lots of good reasons why! We have just picked 35 kilos of strawberries - as good as you'll taste anywhere, and we didn't make a dent. You couldn't tell where we'd been!... As well as the strawberries, there are lots of boysenberries (the best are low and under the leaves), silvanberries, gooseberries, marionberries and raspberries too. After all that picking, there's the tasty food in the cafe, and perhaps a jar of our strawberry-chilli chutney to take home. Remember we now have take-home ice-creams too! It's going to be a great day, so head on out - open from 9 till 4, Dennis and Cheryl

22.01.2022 Happy New Year! We're hoping that one of your new year resolutions is to eat more berries, preferably from Longford Berries! Right now there are berries everywhere, and the quality of the fruit you can pick is fantastic. As is the range of different berries to pick, ranging from boysenberries, strawberries, marion and silvanberries, blueberries, raspberries, gooseberries (tell your grandparents about these as they are a delicacy, getting rarer) and jostaberries. what a sum...mer pudding! There's a fresh batch of jams too - strawberry, raspberry and boysenberry, and our strawberry-chilli chutney of course. In the cafe, al the usual treats, and our first boysenberry ice-cream of the season to load up on as well. All in all, lots to attract you this weekend, (from 9;30 until 4pm) and ensure you keep one new resolution alive for another week! See you soon, Dennis and Cheryl.

20.01.2022 Good evening, So, it's the end of Summer, so now instead of having fantastic summer berries, we have fantastic Autumn berries! Nothing new to report for this weekend... the blackberries are at their best... just so many there and such easy picking. No thorns, no long grass, no need for planks or thick gloves... just stand on the lawn and pick for your heart's content.... the strawberries are also great, with lovely colour, shape and most importantly, taste. The cafe, jams, frozen berries, perfect picking conditions all weekend... I cant think of a reason not to head on out to Longford and enjoy the fruit. Share our post tonight and be in the running for a $20 voucher... Still waiting for all those suggestions for a new slogan to go with our logo - time for thinking caps please. See you this weekend, we hope. Dennis and Cheryl.

19.01.2022 Hello everybody, It is with a great deal of sadness that we have taken the difficult decision to not open for pick your own berries tomorrow. We want to make sure that we do everything we can to ensure that everyone remains safe, and the less opportunity for anyone to come into contact with the virus, the better.... We are still picking lovely strawberries, and these will be available to purchase from the Hill Street Grocer (the IGA or Browns to we older folks). We are supplying these on a regular basis, so you can be assured that they are freshly picked and taste as you would expect of our berries. If you are seeking our frozen berries, please call me on 0409 911972, and we will make arrangements for collection etc. Thank you in advance for your understanding... we will keep you informed of our situation in the days ahead. Dennis and Cheryl.

18.01.2022 Hi again, I should have mentioned that tomorrow we will be open for berry sales only.... the cafe will not be open tomorrow. Thanks again. Dennis

18.01.2022 Hi, As I so often say, it's the weekend again. And that means berries! In this case, strawberries... I must say that I'm thrilled with the quality and quantity of our early strawberries. They look fantastic and the taste is lovely. And there are so many! ... We will be opening this weekend, from 9:30 till 4 pm on Saturday, and on Sunday from 10:00 until 3 pm. Of course, if we get picked out before then, I'll immediately post the news on facebook, and I'll provide an update tomorrow evening, regardless. Our "official" opening will be next weekend, to coincide with the terrific Longford Blooms festival, so our cafe will not be open this weekend. And of course, we will all be following our Covid safe practices at the berry farm. We look forward to seeing you all again, hopefully soon. Dennis and Cheryl.

18.01.2022 Well hi! Here it is November, and that usually means berries! Not even a pandemic can slow them down when they decide it's time to ripen. We have been eating some lovely strawberries for a couple of weeks, but there weren't sufficient to open - we were planning to open in mid-November. However, there are now so many there that we will be opening for the first time tomorrow morning from 10 until 2pm. Things around the farm are not perfect yet, but that said, all the other... berries are in flower and there's a real buzz in the air. The cafe will not be open tomorrow, and of course, there will be some differences in our approach due to Covid. Still, come on out and get yourself some lovely strawberries. See you soon. Dennis and Cheryl. See more

17.01.2022 Good evening, I’m not sure what I can add to the posts I’ve made in the past week or so.... The various berries are absolutely terrific right now, whether it’s strawberries, silvanberries, Marionberries, gooseberries, boysenberries, blueberries or even black currants that take your fancy. The raspberries are ok as well, though not of the quantity of the other fruit.... A few jams left and plenty of fresh frozen berries... All is well in the cafe too, with the boysenberry ice-cream a particular hit last weekend (a fresh batch now!). All in all, a wonderful time to visit, enjoy the countryside, and especially our pesticide and fungicide free berries. Dennis and Cheryl

17.01.2022 Hi, Lovely warm days, even if a little windy, mean lots of ripe berries - in our case at this time of the year this translates to lots of fantastic strawberries. The colour and taste is really remarkable for so early in the year, so make sure you include us in your weekend planning.... The cafe will be open of course, serving more taste delights - and our new-look ice-creams met with great approval last weekend. In fact so much so that I have made a fresh batch for tomorrow! We will be open from 9:30 until 4 tomorrow and Sunday, but it might pay to keep an eye on the weather on Sunday - there's rain predicted (and it's no fun picking strawberries in the wet I can assure you!). Looking forward to catching up over the weekend. Cheryl and Dennis.

17.01.2022 Well, well, well... For the second Wednesday in a row, it's raining. In keeping with the Launceston Cup theme, with a wet and slippery track, Longford Berries is a late scratching today.... Please call if you are desperate for berries, or were coming out for frozen fruit. My number is 0409 911972. We will open tomorrow morning, weather permitting of course, then again at the weekend. Dennis

16.01.2022 What a beautiful day.... and more to come. It always seems that way when it's time to return to school. meanwhile out here on the berry farm, we've been busy cutting back those brambles whose season is over, starting with the youngest boysenberries and the loganberries. More to come in the next few days. Nothing is stopping those strawberries - they continue to be delightful, and can now be complemented with lots and lots of ripe blackberries, which are getting more plenti...ful and sweeter by the day. Still a few boysenberries and marionberries, but not lots so don't miss out. some raspberries too, but be early. Gooseberries are now in the freezer! Over in the cafe, there will the usual array of lovely food and coffee, so after you have dropped the children off to school, call round for a relaxing half hour... have a coffee and stock up on fruit for lunches! This week's winner for sharing last Friday's post is Krittee Jean, (no. 39). Congratulations Krittee, the $20 voucher is yours to enjoy during this season. We're looking forward to seeing so many of you tomorrow... Dennis and Cheryl

16.01.2022 Hi, It's midweek, and as I write, the wind has finally abated...it certainly has been a bit of a pest these last few days. Still, onward we press, and the good news is that the strawberries have demonstrated commendable resilience after a hectic weekend... there are lots that have ripened since Sunday. ... And the sunflowers are peeking through! We will be open tomorrow from 10:00 am until 3:30 for picking, and the cafe will be open too! Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Dennis and Cheryl

16.01.2022 Good evening everybody, Well, it's tried to rain all day, but with no success... just lots of clouds! And it looks like that's going to continue tomorrow. Just a short post tonight... because the message is just the same. Lots and lots of lovely strawberries and lots and lots of fantastic blackberries! That's it really.... all the other usual things are on the go too - the cafe, jams, frozen berries.... So come on out for a relaxing time - open from 9 until 4. The winner of last weekend's voucher is Rhonda Floyd (no. 49). Congratulations Rhonda, your voucher awaits your collection. See you soon we hope, Dennis and Cheryl.

15.01.2022 Good morning... Just a quick update... Raspberries - locally grown - just $6 per 250 gm punnet! The first of the season.... This weekend... to go with our strawberries! What a dessert! D

15.01.2022 Good evening everybody, Here we are, sitting in the semi-darkness with no power, along with so many others... The good news is that the strawberries and blackberries have really appreciated the gorgeous weather, and continue to produce fantastic fruit for your picking pleasure this weekend. Sadly, the other berries have finished for the season, but we have managed to get some picked into the freezer which we will sell until we run out. Just ask when you arrive what’s availa...ble. A special treat this weekend. Lydia Nuttall, Harvest Kitchen, the celebrity chef who uses Longford Berries as her berry of choice, has devised a series of berry recipes which she has trialled in the past few weeks. Lydia has generously agreed to share these with our customers, so we have made copies for you to take with you and try for yourself. Thanks Lydia! The cafe will be in full swing all weekend with its usual great food and coffee, and if the warm weather continues then the ice cream machine is just waiting! Make sure you share this post to win the $20 voucher.... we are looking forward to catching up with our old friends and lots of newcomers too. Dennis and Cheryl

14.01.2022 Good evening everybody, It's been a perfect couple of days among the berries, with lovely sunshine and warm conditions. No rain either! Our strawberries continue their merry way, with great fruit everywhere you look. And to add to the mix, there are heaps and heaps of ripe blackberries just ready to be picked. How easy it is too - just stand on the lawn with your tray and off you go! No thorns, no balancing on planks or all the olden day hazards of picking blackberries ... Sadly, the remainder of the berries are reaching the end of their season. Just a few boysenberries and raspberries left. The other berries are now in the freezer, if we have them. Please ask... All the usual treats in the cafe this weekend of course, and a new batch of our jams, including the first of our blackberry jam. Don't forget to share this post, and be eligible for our $20 voucher to be used this season. We look forward to catching up this weekend. Dennis and Cheryl.

14.01.2022 Hi, Here we go again with the same great story... Wonderful treats from the cafe, and terrific strawberries in the field! What more could you want on a Wednesday!... While you are here, check out how the blueberries, jostaberries, silvanberries and gooseberries are looking... so much fruit to ripen. Thank goodness the downpour last night that swept through the northern midlands missed us completely. A new thought suggested by some customers at the weekend.... now that our ice-creams are in tubs, and easily transportable, they make a terrific take-home dessert, or as an easy birthday party treat. Just let us know in advance if you want to order some, and we'll make them up specially for you. So, with nice weather predicted, and plenty of fruit to pick, it's a great time for a visit. Looking forward to seeing you. Dennis and Cheryl.

14.01.2022 Hi, After some heavy rain throughout the night, and continuing drizzle as I write, we have taken the difficult decision to not open for berry picking this morning. We will re-assess the situation at midday and let you know how things look. Right now, the strawberry rows are very wet, We do have some fresh raspberry seconds in the fridge, and of course frozen berries and ice-cream. My number is 0409 911972 - please call ahead if you head out early. I'm so sorry for any i...nconvenience. Denis See more

13.01.2022 Hello, and welcome to the weekend! It's hard to believe that Christmas day is less than a month away. Well, after today's black Friday mayhem, it's probably best to have a calming red weekend, and what better place to come and wind down but at Longford Berries. Relax with a coffee and pancakes or waffles, keep an eye on the little ones in the sandpit, feed them an ice-cream made from real berries, and then when all the stress has gone with the breeze, head out into the stra...wberry patch to get some wonderful pesticide-free strawberries. None of our other berries are ripe yet, and we don't have any raspberries this weekend, but don't let that deter you... the strawberries are worth the trip alone. We will be open from 9:30 until 4 on Saturday and Sunday, and we hope to see you over the weekend. Dennis and Cheryl.

12.01.2022 Hi, Well, it looks like the rain is over... We will open at 12:30 this afternoon for berry picking etc... It is muddy at the bottom of the strawberry rows, so thongs and open toed shoes are probably not the go. Hope to see you this afternoon, and of course tomorrow's big day.... dennis. See more

12.01.2022 Hi, What wonderful weather we are experiencing, and it looks like it's going to continue... fantastic for ripening strawberries! After lots of enthusiastic berry pickers visiting last weekend, I wondered how much ripe fruit we would have by Wednesday. I needn't have worried... the strawberries look fantastic again, and there are lots of delicious berries to be picked tomorrow.... Each day we manage to get a little better prepared for the season, so there's something new to see each day. We will open again at 10 am tomorrow, and close around 3:30. Looking forward to seeing you all. Dennis and Cheryl.

11.01.2022 Tomorrow is February... good grief! While it has been very smokey this afternoon, as I write this post there has been no sign of rain at all, which is good news for berry pickers. Out in the field, there are loads of fantastic strawberries - continuing to amaze me - as well as raspberries, boysenberries, and quite a few blackberries.... Yesterday we picked the last of the gooseberries for the season, and these are in the fridge now for those who want some fresh this weekend. No blueberries any more either, and this weekend will be the last of the silvanberries and marionberries - we will egin cutting them back next week. In the freezer there are good supplies of frozen berries - best to ask about them, and we have a new batch of raspberry, strawberry and silvanberry jam. Over in the cafe it's been all go for weeks - and no wonder with great waffles, pancakes, toasties and ice-creams, along with fantastic Oomph coffee and iced chocolates and coffees. We will be open all weekend from 9 till 4 so come on out and spoil yourself. Share the post and perhaps join Jennie, Lauren and David as winners of our $20 vouchers See you this weekend. Dennis and Cheryl See more

10.01.2022 Good evening everybody, What beautiful Autumn weather we have enjoyed this week... in the hurly burly of a constant barrage of virus news, being outside in the sunshine helps to cheer our spirits. That said, in line with all the advice and good practice, we will be remaining closed for berry picking.... Our strawberries are available from the Longford Hill Street Grocer, (that's the big IGA), and are delivered regularly to them to ensure that they are fresh and look great. Please give me a call 0409 911972 if you need frozen berries. We have good supplies of strawbs, silvanberries and blackberries, and limited numbers of gooseberries, raspberries and boysenberries, and one kilo of marionberries. Take care , and stay home! Best wishes Dennis and Cheryl.

09.01.2022 Good evening everybody, We hope that you have had a joyous Christmas, and a relaxing day watching the cricket, or even enjoying some Boxing Day shopping (not so relaxing!) And if you thought after the hurly-burly of Christmas Eve at the berry farm, that there wouldn't be a berry to be picked tomorrow, you'd be so wrong!... There are heaps of wonderful strawberries, silvanberries, raspberries, gooseberries blueberries and boysenberries ready for your picking pleasure, and as a bonus, the marionberries are ripening too. The cafe will be in full swing again as well, so if you are looking for a great family time tomorrow, then Longford Berries is a great place to start. We will be open from 9:30 until 4: we look forward to seeing you soon. Best wishes, Dennis and Cheryl.

09.01.2022 Good evening, Running a little late tonight - sorry! Today I attended a seminar about berry growing - really fascinating. One take-out for me was the statement from a strawberry expert from the Netherlands that he believes that by 2035 European governments will have legislated to ban chemical use in the berry industry. Good to know that in this regard at least, Longford Berries is ahead of the curve - by over 20 years!... We will be open tomorrow.... the blackberries are at their sweetest, and most prolific right now, and the strawberries are still very sweet as well, and taste great. (Lots of conversation about taste today as well). The cafe will be open, and we have a fresh (and final for the season) batch of our strawberry chilli chutney so make sure you don't miss out. We will open for picking from 9:30 until 4 pm. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Dennis and Cheryl.

08.01.2022 Hi, Well, the rain has come and gone again, and done no damage at all. We will be open this weekend on Saturday only, from 9:30 until 4 , and have some lovely strawberries ready for you to pick. The size, colour and taste is terrific for this time of the year, as anyone who has tried our berries recently will testify.... The blackberries are nearing the end of their terrific season, and tomorrow as a special encouragement to come on out and get your supplies before they finish, we will be reducing the price to just $10 kg pyo. Plenty of frozen berries too, as well as the last batches of our jam this season. No cafe for the remainder of the season, and tomorrow we will be conducting all the sales in the open air. Thank you for your ongoing encouragement and support. It means a lot to us. Dennis and Cheryl

08.01.2022 Seeing there is going to be significant rain on Wednesday- please come and get your strawberry fix tomorrow. We will be open for picking from 9:30am. There will be no cafe tomorrow - just strawberries and icecream. See you tomorrow!Seeing there is going to be significant rain on Wednesday- please come and get your strawberry fix tomorrow. 07.01.2022 Good evening everybody, Firstly, an apology - this post is way too late! I forgot that I'd promised to let everyone know the state of the strawberries after today's picking. The good news is that there are still loads of fantastic strawberries here for your picking pleasure tomorrow. We will be open from 10:00 am until 3pm. Hope you can make it on out.... D See more

06.01.2022 Hi again, I forgot to announce the winner of last week's "share the post"... This week the winner is David Brown, (number 77). Congratulations David. Your $20 Longford Berries voucher awaits!... We'll do it all again on Friday night! D

06.01.2022 Hello everybody, After much consideration and deliberation, we have decided that we will open for berry picking tomorrow. Our rationale for doing so is based on our very open berry fields, our capacity for keeping everybody in their own space, and some simple processes we can adopt for managing the strawberry shed effectively.... In the fields themselves, there are loads of great strawberries and blackberries - not opening over the weekend has really given them a boost. As well we have good supplies of most frozen berries that we grow, for those looking to stock up for winter. Our cafe will not be open at all during the day - no coffee, no pancakes, waffles, toasties ... and no ice-creams! I'm sure you all understand. We will be open from 9:30 until 4. By all means, bring your own containers for berries if you don't want to use ours. take care. Dennis and Cheryl.

06.01.2022 Hello everyone With the wet and the cold - we won’t be opening tomorrow. We apologise for the late notice and hope everyone has a great weekend.

05.01.2022 Happy Christmas! We're looking forward to a great day tomorrow at Longford Berries. Despite everything, the berries are looking great, and there's such a variety to choose from. You can start with terrific strawberries, then there are raspberries, blueberries, gooseberries, silvanberries, jostaberries and boysenberries! All PYO. What a dessert that will make! There are limited supplies of some berries already picked in the fridge.... The cafe will be in full swing from 8 oçlock, so head on out early, get your berries, and then settle in with pancakes for breakfast! And as a Christmas surprise, we have just made our first batches of jams for the season. Fresh strawberry and raspberry jam, and our amazing strawberry Chilli chutney. As always, we only make small batches so it's always fresh, so don't miss out. We will be open at 8 tomorrow morning, and expect to close around 1:30. It's likely to be busy early as people arrive to pick up ordered berries, so please take care in the car-park... Cheryl and I are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow... and if you can't make it, may we wish you a joyous Christmas with loved ones, and look forward to seeing you in the weeks ahead. Dennis and Cheryl. PS We will not be open on Saturday 26th, but we will open on Sunday 27th, and then as normal on Wednesdays and weekends.

05.01.2022 Hi, It's berry heaven out here at Longford Berries right now...among the best times of the year to visit! There are fantastic strawberries, the silvanberries are at their best, lots of raspberries, blueberries, loganberries and gooseberries, terrific marionberries and jostaberries. And the boysenberries are awesome and super easy picking right now. ... The cafe will be in full swing tomorrow - my personal favourite boysenberry shortcake is on the go for the first time this year, as well as all the usual ice-creams... Frozen berries too, but no fresh jams until the weekend -we sold all our jams on Christmas Eve and are in the process of making new batches now. We will be open tomorrow from 9:30, so come on out and have a great time picking! Dennis and Cheryl. PS We will NOT be open on Friday, New Years Day, but open at the weekend. Thanks. D

05.01.2022 Good evening, With perfect weather forecast for the weekend, and with lovely strawberries and fantastic blackberries available to pick, we are looking forward to seeing lots of visitors to the farm this weekend. It's been a busy week for us, working hard to cut back all the brambles and then re-trellis all the new growth. We have left the worst till last of course - the boysenberries still look like the perfect home for Brer Rabbit!... The cafe will be open throughout the weekend, and we have replenished our jams with a new batch of strawberry and blackberry jam. Lots of frozen berries too! Sadly, the wild weather got the better of our shade sail over the sandpit, so it won't be replaced until next week when we have completed our repairs... Still, it could have been much worse! We are looking for a new logo for Longford Berries, which we can use next season on our brochures, and around the place generally. make a suggestion - we'll pin them up in the berry shed and at the end of the season select the most popular one. The winning suggestion can expect a great prize! See you over the weekend I hope. Dennis and Cheryl.

04.01.2022 Good morning, Well, after saying last night we'd had no rain, it started about 9 last night and hasn't stopped! Accordingly, we won't be opening today...everywhere is very wet, and it's no joy picking berries in the rain.... Please give me a call 0409 911972 if you were heading out, especially if you were planning on getting frozen berries. Watch out for our next post... we'll be playing it by ear for a few days.... D

03.01.2022 Good evening, so the skies finally opened, and it rained and it rained and it rained... about 55 mm in total. Everybody is rejoicing about such a good soaking, except us out at Longford Berries!... Everything got a a thorough soaking, which in the long term will be really beneficial, but in the short term it's been a drag for the strawberries in particular. Those that were ripe or nearly ripe have been splashed by the droplets, meaning that we are not satisfied that the quality is there this weekend to open. As a result we will not be open this weekend. We apologise for this inconvenience, but I'm sure you understand our commitment to ensuring that the berries you pick and enjoy are as flavoursome as it can be. We will be open again on Wednesday... the extra days will enable the strawberries to recover and likewise our blackberries. Have a great long weekend - and check out the motorama at Longford - an absolutely amazing celebration of our town's car history. Dennis and Cheryl.

02.01.2022 It's Longford Blooms! What a weekend awaits everyone who ventures out to Longford in the next two days... lovely gardens to explore and enjoy, and then there are the berries! Here at Longford Berries the strawberries are fantastic - there's not much better than juicy red strawberries picked fresh into your basket in Springtime. Lots of them!... As an added bonus,(and in keeping with Longford Blooms), the boysenberries are putting on a magnificent show of blossom, and in a portent of what's to come, our blackberries have burst into full flower as well. Beautiful to see, and amazing to hear! Tomorrow marks the opening of the Longford Berries Cafe for the season, so plan to stay a while, enjoy a coffee, waffles, pancakes, toasties, and our new look ice-cream (the same great taste but served ready in an eco-friendly tub for your convenience). Something for everybody... We will be opening at 9:30 until 4 on Saturday and Sunday, and of course, be observing the usual covid-safe practices. We are looking forward to seeing many old friends over the weekend, and meeting lots of new ones too. Cheryl and Dennis.

02.01.2022 Good evening, time seems to be racing along and we have enjoyed the best weather for ripening berries, (and beginning the groundwork for next year's strawberries) First off, this week's winner of our $20 voucher for sharing the post last Friday is Rhian Shepherd (no. 23) Congraatulations Rhian, see you soon we hope. Out in the field, there are lots and lots of strawberries and blackberries. Such easy picking! Amazing taste, and look fantastic too. All the other berries h...ave pretty much come to the end of their tether, so from now on it's into the freezer for what we have been able to put aside. I'll give you an update on the actual numbers next week. Terrific food in the cafe tomorrow... please note that the cafe will be closing at 1:30 tomorrow (except for ice-creams.) Finally my lost property pile is getting taller! last weekend I added a piping hot hat, more sandals and a lovely little white headband that really suits me! So, there are still lots of reasons to call out tomorrow, open from 9 until 4pm. Dennis and Cheryl. See more

02.01.2022 Hi, The rain has gone, the rows are drying nicely, and the fruit is still fantastic. For those who might have been planning on a mid-week visit, we will open tomorrow (Thursday), from 9:30 until 2 pm tomorrow. We will of course, be open at the weekend as well. Let your friends and family know of this extra opportunity. Thanks.... Dennis. See more

01.01.2022 Good evening, It's Launceston Cup day tomorrow, but the best bet of the day is a trip to Longford Berries for the opportunity to pick some great strawberries and fantastic blackberries! The fruit continues to taste terrific, and the picking is very easy.... straight from the barrier to the finishing post in the berry shed.... In the cafe, lovely waffles are a winner, in a photo-finish with the pancakes, and ice-creams in third place... Also running tomorrow are frozen berries and fresh jams... unfortunately the strawberry chilli chutney is a scratching tomorrow till we make some more! So put on your racing colours, saddle on up and head out to the track... tethering available for all horses. Please note the starting time tomorrow will be 9:30 until 4 pm. See you at the berry races! Cheryl and Dennis.
