19.01.2022 Let's get technical for a moment and talk about ingredients. Every single element of the formulations of Long Haul Spa products has a purpose in our antipodean world of wellness, and Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) Seed Oil is no exception. This baby is vitamin-rich in A, D & E, high emollient, and b-sitosterol (a plant sterol). In other words, it's there to help dry and damaged skin. The Baobab is perhaps the best-known tree in Africa and grows in abundance in hot, dr...y lowland areas such as the Rift Valley. Its spreading crown of branches is bare of leaves for much of the year and reminiscent of a root system, hence the Baobab’s common name: ‘The Upside Down Tree’. Baobab is known in Africa as The Tree of Life because there are many traditional uses for every part of it, from the leaves to the roots. The fruit powder is commonly with water and sugar to make a popular and refreshing sherbet-like drink. The powder is also used for porridge, sauces, and other dishes and as a substitute for cream of tartar in baking, and as a fermenting agent in traditional brews. 16.01.2022 "A great concept and target market here from Long Haul Spa. Judges loved the packaging and the fact that a tree is planted for every kit sold, a great product with a great message! Judges were particularly impressed with the idea of supporting front line workers in the current situation, which takes a real global approach." We are absolutely blown away to have won the Travel Retail Award AND the Frontier Awards 2020 last week in such fine company of deserving finalists (L'...Oreal, Foreo, Spa of Iceland, Nuxe... just to name a few!). We are humbled by the experience and more motivated than ever to help fellow #longhaultravelers and #skincareenthusiasts in achieving their skin care goals.
