20.01.2022 Introducing Diane Mooy-Summers, who is bringing her beautifully crafted products to the Market. This is Diane's Story... Dajahoau White Sage Smudge Organically ...Grown in Southern Tasmania White sage is used to bless, cleanse and heal people, animals, homes and objects. Sage is used to wash off the outside world, engergies & unwanted infulences when we enters ceremony, sacred space, home or whenever you feel drawn to smudge. The smoke from white sage actually changes the ionic composition of the air and can have a direct efect on reducing the stress response. Using white sage is a beautiful way to connect with Mother Earth in a real & gentle way, reminding us to live in balance & respect. DAJAHOAU ESSENCES FOR BALANCE Dajahoau essences are created from Australian Bush flower essences, therapeutic grade quintessential oils & pure Tasmanian rainwater. Each essence is crafted by hand and energetically charged using rose quartz, amethyst & clear quartz crystals. [Apologies for posting these products in Doriannes Story yesterday]

15.01.2022 So wonderful to host the Congress of ATSI nurses and midwives this week. Interesting conversations around supporting women to home birth and the need to encourage and support First Nation health professionals. We also yarned about extending the training of community doulas and grandmother lore. Very rich and inspiring. #care4carers #culturefirst #strongoncountry

01.01.2022 The LongHouse recently had the wonderful experience of hosting the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives. Such a talented, compassionate hearted and hard working group of health care professionals. So grateful for this wonderful testimonial; "CATSINaM is the peak body representing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nurses and midwives (including students). We decided to host CATSINaM member forums across Australia in 2020 with the first f...orum held in Hobart at the Longhouse. This forum was attended by 10 members, a CATSINaM Board member and 2 CATSINaM staff. The event included a cultural activity which allowed us to learn about local Aboriginal culture including sampling local food and weaving using traditional resources. The venue was amazing the LongHouse was very welcoming and a Culturally Safe space with the beautiful vegetable and herbal garden and the set-up of the space. I would recommend this as a place to hold cultural events including membership forums. - Melanie Robinson Chief Executive Officer #nayriniara #homeHEARth #HealingOurWay #alwayswillbe
