14.01.2022 So guys some results are in regarding the Norma load up. Worked up some loads for the 300 Norma with both the Berger 230’s and the 230 ATips, both grouped real well, speeds had been very similar as one would expect being same weights and similar bearing surface. I decided to stick with the ATips for the higher BC and it’s the bullet I wanted to run for this build to begin with. Load I settled on was 86.0gr of H1000 which gave me 3020-3030 (and I’m sure it will increase a tou...ch with a few more rounds down the tube. Validated my dope and off I went hunting yest. afternoon. Found a nice healthy Sambar Doe at 600 m on the nose, dialled 3.2 mils and sent it. Shot connected and passed through Lower lungs and exited Opposite side cleanly. Exit wound was approx 3 and created a really nice blood trail. Doe managed to make it around 8m-10m into thick scrub and expired making a pretty quick recovery. Didnt have any daylight left to do an autopsy but it was clear the projectile did its job sufficiently that I’m confident enough to keep hunting with it.

09.01.2022 The long awaited NX8’s are soon to hit our shelves !! Very excited to test these bad boys and see how they stack up against their more expensive brothers. With a 30mm tube and 50mm objective NF have achieved a lightweight offering without sacrificing magnification! PM is if you have any interest in obtaining one!

07.01.2022 NX8’s have arrived! Very stoked to be one of first to have these, to say I’m impressed is an understatement! NF hit the nail on the head, these things are perfect for lightweight LR hunting rigs and offer excellent value at around 3K AUD.... First impressions are really good, very reminiscent of the older NXS but with some key updates! FFP, new reticle designs.... ohhh and the weight... for the magnification! Impressive. Glass has also been improved over the older NXS... I find it to be a lot clearer and less milky not quite 7-35 Atacr clear but not should it be as it’s considerably cheaper. Dials feel like they have been lifted straight from the NXS line, which isn’t such a bad thing, but again, not as crisp as the ATACR’s. All in all, if you want similar performance as the highest end scopes without the weight penalty, this is your scope. PM/DM us if your in the market for something like this.

01.01.2022 Personal build chambered in 300 Norma Mag finally complete. Defiance Deviant Proof carbon 28 Manners Adj Carbon Stock... T3 Terminator Brake 7-35 Nightforce Atacr and NF rings Will be shooting the new Hornady ATips in 230 and 250 gr shortly

01.01.2022 1020 yard testing with the new Nightforce NX8 4-32x and a new build Gunwerks GRB 28 Nosler shooting 180 ELD-M with rock creek barrel we started running in. Scope exceeded expectations with first round hits straight after 100m zero. Not bad for new scope, new barrel and zero load Devolopment on a new setup. Crappy plate got knocked around a bit though. As a long range hunting scope I haven’t found anything in this weight class that offers same specs, possibly the Mark5 but yet to be tested.
