25.01.2022 Results from Sundays event with Kenny coming out on top. Even though there was some controversy in Kennys group with 2 A graders, who shall remain nameless, being out driven by the long hitting Bobby Harding. This weekend is the last monthly medal for the year before the medal final in 2 weeks time, with tee off at midday. Happy golfing

23.01.2022 Hi all, please see below a message from our president in relation to our upcoming open. Dear Golfers,... At the Longreach Golf Club we are committed to the Health and Safety of our members and guests. With the recent developments with the Coronavirus or COVID-19 and the government advise around public gatherings and social distancing, the committee has decided that it is in all participants best interest to postpone our upcoming Open which was scheduled for next Sunday 29th of March until further notice. We do apologise to all members and guests for the inconvenience. A date will be arranged further in the Year if things settle down and be communicated accordingly. 15.01.2022 2 competitions over the weekend with Sunday having a field of 18 and seeing Swanny come home winner. Monday was a slightly smaller field yet still 11 players got out there for a swing on the public holiday, with Duncan coming home the winner on the day. This sunday is a 4BBB Stableford (draw for partners)... Also attached is the information for the Central West Open to be held at Alpha Golf Club Inc on the 18th. Happy Golfing

15.01.2022 A nice size field braved the heat around Sunday. Congratulations to McKenzie Neal from Ilfracombe who decided to come have a hit Sunday on our course and blitzed the field. hopefully the Ilfracombe handicapper has a look at this result and rethinks that handicap or they put him in the pennant team. Talking of the Pennants, this Sunday we will be hosting the Central West Pennants, it would be good if all members could come down and lend a hand and cheer on our team Sunday. the event will be at 9am with a shotgun start. 15.01.2022 A slight change to this weekends event Sunday will see us teeing off at 8:30am instead of midday, so people can enjoy a round of golf before the NRL Grand Final. 09.01.2022 Results after the first 2 rounds of the club championships. Good to see Ben Emmott out infront in the Mens A Grade with Mark Zavialov only 1 shot behind, also Justin Lenton is sitting third only 5 shots off the pace. In the ladies A Grade Sally Hansen and Liz Emmott are battling it out with Sally up by 1 shot.... In the Mens B Grade Tony Dixon has a slight lead over Mick Tanks who is 3 shots behind. In the Ladies B grade Lenore Johnstone has a massive 23 shot lead over Kathy Woodfield in the Mens C Grade Ian Butt is keeping his social distancing rules in check from Bobby Harding back 10 shots. good luck to all this weekend and happy golfing.

05.01.2022 Due to the current situation with COVID-19 or coronavirus. the Committee has decided to close the golf club to non members. Members are asked to follow all QLD Golf and Golf Australia guidelines as well as State and Federal government regulations while at the course. Members wanting to play golf MUST follow the following committee rule. Golf is to be played in group of 2 only, no congregating around the clubhouse or any other areas on course except in groups of 2....
