20.01.2022 10 or 15 years ago the only waste water that came out of a caravan was a few litres of sink water. Of course now nearly all new vans have a shower and washer etc. We recently had one here with a dishwasher. Sooooo you guys are all up in arms about the amount of water making a mess all over the place... It is part of the owners plans for the future to develop a better drainage system... We are considering banning the use of van washing machines and showers in this park...... Whilst I am having a rant I would also like to point out that if dog owners continue to disregard the " must be on the leash rule" And leaving the pooch poo where it was dispensed, we may also consider a NO DOG rule. It amazes me that the people that dislike the place are quite often the very same people that contribute to the issues See more

18.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Nowhere is too remote to be touched by the concern about COVID-19 and we know some of you will be wondering about the effect on your outback holidays this year. We are monitoring the situation very closely and we are taking the most optimistic view we can (as is our outback way!). We are already taking additional measures to protect our guests’ health extra deep cleaning of every surface in the accommodation between guests, and new measures for the shared a...menities. With fewer people in our region and plenty of fresh air, this could be a good spot to pull up the caravan or take a short break. If you’ve already booked but are feeling worried, you can swap for a later date (subject to availability) or take credit. That means you have more time to make a decision and see how everything unfolds over the coming month or two. We hope to see you here before too long and wish you good health in the meantime. See our full COVID-19 update on our website. http://www.longreachtouristpark.com.au/faqs/covid-19-update/

04.01.2022 WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD IN LONGREACH... In this time of community turmoil, we’re still planning for the town’s future. We’re pleased to announce Outback Pioneers and Longreach Tourist Park have merged to create a brand new accommodation experience for guests. We’re already making some exciting changes but you’ll see an even bigger difference from 2021 onwards when the park will invite you to live the outback pioneering spirit from the moment you arrive. In the meantime, we’re still taking bookings for the tour season, which will kick off in a couple of weeks. Get away from it all and support small Australian tourism businesses. Book accommodation online or contact the Longreach Tourist Park crew on 4658 1781.
