02.01.2022 Congratulations to the MWCA Telegraph Shield (U23s) for winning their 2nd final in a row against Camden on Sunday. The Manly boys played brilliantly on Sunday w...ith a great team bowling effort bowling out Camden for 81. Both opening bowlers Zac Youlten (2/21) and Hurswin Sharma (2/8) got Camden on the back foot with early breakthrough and had then 6/36 after the first drinks breaks. Camden fought back with a couple mini partnerships but spinner Ronit Mahajan (2/32) and swing bowler Bailey Walz (3/8) knocked over their middle and lower order. Keeper Reiley Dunlop was brilliant all day behind the stumps with four (4) catches. The chase for Manly started slowly with three early wickets. But a fifty run partnership between middle order batsmen Reiley Dunlop (39 off 86) and Aaron Peters (34 not out off 52) held the innings together as Manly win by six wickets and 23 overs to spare. Well done to Manly boys and let’s make it three in row next season.
