21.01.2022 I cant give away toooo many details however I wanted to share a few BIG projects we have been working on behind the scenes. For a long time we have focused on our own internal processes, but now is the time to start thinking about how to make ordering easier for YOU. 20.01.2022 Why do we offer so much more than just design and print services? This was my lounge room JUST three years ago. We ran our own very successful candle business, with many stockists and over 100 custom event favour jobs done that year. We ended up selling the business to pursue Long Story Short because we realised how rewarding it was to be a part of our fellow makers journeys. We know what it is like to be a small product business ... We know the products, we know the fragrances and the blends. We know what your customers want. There are designers, and then there are the designers that know implicitly your target market. You dont have to explain to us what your business is, or what you are trying to do. From running a business just like yours, to now. We are still the same people, we still do what we do because we have a passion for building brands, together we can help each other grow. 15.01.2022 Changes have come to LSS (good ones we promise!) Our Mission at Long Story Short has always been simple: to keep design accessible, and affordable without compromising on quality. We are forever working out where we should invest our time to give you the best experience possible, and as a small business with such a loyal following but with limited resources this can sometimes be like playing tetris . ... Up until now, one of our processes was for a design assistant to be the go between between yourself and the designer. This person would be the translator, they would ask you questions, and work with you, they would compile all the information and deliver it to our designer. This enabled our designers to stay in the creative zone and focus on creating their magic. We have decided (and after speaking with some of you), not only is it important to have beautiful designs, affordable and with a quick turnaround, but to also have direct access to our designers so you can get down and dirty in the creative depths of your project personally with the design team . This is huge. To be able to work with amazing designers, at an extremely affordable price and still have the quality you always have. All of our process changes recently have been so that WE can spend the time where it counts - with you. We have automated the boring tasks, and outsourced the admin. All of this means that we can put our everything into you and your brand. We have listened to your feedback, and we hope you are as excited as this is a huge change that we think will make your experience with LSS even better. Thank you as always for being by our side. We are just two girls who have a vision, and are on the wildest, craziest journey of their lives.

12.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT First of all, our hearts are with Victoria. We will be alongside you over the next 6 weeks. It is a hard road ahead, but it will end - and together we will get through it. Hopefully it forces us all to slow down a bit. If anyone needs to talk, you know where to find us. Our design studio is based in Melbourne. Our staff normally work out of a studio in Point Cook. As there will be no onsite working for professionals and all schools will be closed for the next 6 ...weeks we anticipate some delays. ***We will aim to keep interruptions to a minimum, however we do anticipate a 1 day delay on proofs and final proofs*** As all of our printing is done out of our Sydney print studio, there will be no change on the printing end, we are very up to date so hopefully this cancels out any delays on the artwork/proofing side. There are also delays with Australia Post, which are completely out of our control. To avoid any disappointment please dont leave any orders till the last minute as we do not offer a rush service, as this puts others orders behind and we try to be fair to everyone. Thank you for being by our side, we know this isnt easy. We are all small businesses trying to negate this dreadful time, lets all just hope it is over quickly.

All of our logos are created from scratch, and include custom illustration where requested. A logo can be a bit of an investment, but it is the best investment you can make in your brand. ... 02.01.2022 An online business group was discussing the best piece of advice they have ever received. Within 10 seconds I knew what I would contribute to the discussion. In our final year of high school, we were chatting to one of our teachers, we were discussing our plans were for the year ahead, which university degrees we were interested in and which universities we were applying to. She went on to tell us Im 50 years old and I still dont know what I want to be when I grow up! It... was a timely reminder for a bunch of year 12 kids who had no idea what their next step should be. Some of us have been lucky enough to know exactly where we aim to be, for many others of us it isnt always so clear. One of the most amazing things about owning a business (or, as I see it, my lifes project) is that I am able to try something totally different to the future many others would have written for me. Owning a business isnt about what you are achieving right this minute. Owning a business is a verb, and not a noun. Owning a business is being in business. It gives direction, which may not always be clear, and definitely wont always be easy, but it gives you the ability to write your own story. So, if you need some clarity, remember that sometimes the best journeys, and the best outcomes actually come from having little clarity. Be open to your goals changing and your vision shifting. Dont opt out just because it becomes murky.
