25.01.2022 In June 2006 LVA installed the first Version 1.10 of Longwall Visual Analysis at Crinum Mine in QLD. Fast forward to 2019 and we are on Version 7.12 and installed on almost all the Longwalls in Australia. You can see how much the software has grown and developed thanks to our amazing customers, we value their ideas and input. Thanks for your support.

21.01.2022 Joy Mining Machinery releases a new version of its most popular video "Pioneering Underground Mining". You can request a free copy of this video by contacting... [email protected] and provide your name and mailing address and if you want the copy in DVD or Blu-ray format. It was first produced in 2001 to support a request by our US Midwest sales region to help a customer explain the difference between room and pillar and longwall mining to finance people. It quickly became the most widely distributed video in our library being used by universities, schools, shown to community groups, etc. The program was updated to show new products and includes all new HD video and animations. 18.01.2022 The new version of LVA allows you to display multiple 3D plots on the one screen. This allows easy comparison of data and how it relates to other factors. In the image below we compare Average Leg Pressure values, Yields in a Set to Roof Cycle and Loading Rates for the first 1-5 Minutes after set. You can turn on and off multiple configuration settings for each graph such as displaying shearer speed/path, smooth the data etc. The top of the screen displays serveral gauges that are visable all the time. These are configurable for each site and alert you to unusual conditions or potential issues on the face. They are Low Set Pressure, Fast Set to Yield, Roof Variability, Weight on Face, Weight Developing and Cavity Risk.

17.01.2022 QLD this week. Visited Carborough Downs, Moranbah North and Broadmeadow so far. Grosvenor today and Grasstree tomorrow. That will mean all bar one of our customers in Australia will be running the new version 7 of LVA.

10.01.2022 LVA Face Scan is now much more configurable. In this example we are showing the Maingate (Red) and Tailgate (Blue) leg pressures along with their associated Set pressures (Yellow) and Time Weighted Average Pressures (TWAP) (Green). The Middle graph is showing DA Ram Stroke (Grey) and Lower Advance Set cycle times (Black). The lower graph is displaying Shield Heights (H1 - Front, H2 - Cylinder, H3 - Rear) and Shield Closure. ... All this data is displayed live and can also be reviewed historically.

05.01.2022 LVA Scan Maps show your raw data scans. Each time we read your Longwall data a new line is added to the scan map. Here it is overlayed with the shearer path. You can see clearly the pressures rising before the shearer passes and then the sudden drop as the shields are cycled.
