24.01.2022 We had the Snake Catcher out today He caught a Lowland Copperhead along the Oak Ave fence. We have sighted a few Tiger snakes also. Please be vigilant and report any snakes you see! Thanks and Stay Safe

24.01.2022 This year hasn’t exactly played out to how any of us thought it would. Tonight I received a message from one of our under 12 players that....I’ll be honest put ...a lump in my throat and made me feel like, I as a president as well as our committee and coaches have still done a great job regardless of how small our season was. We do this because we love our kids....we do this because we love our sport.....we do this because it’s such an important moment in a child’s life to help teach and guide where we can. We do this because that’s what we can do. Thank you for coming forward with your honest words you don’t understand what’s it means to us as a club..... I can’t wait for next year. I miss football.I miss that feeling of the second I step on the field feeling proud in my Longwarry uniform like a soldier. 07.01.2022 Fortunately we will be making a return to cricket in WDCA one day competition beginning on October 3rd. The format will consist of 5 one day games with a final ...between the two top teams. Due to current restrictions only players who reside in the Baw Baw Shire will be able to play. For anyone interested in playing in the one day games please send the club a message- if spots allow players who play in metro areas but reside in Baw Baw are welcome to play. There will be an update on junior cricket later in the week. We will have training this Thursday at 5pm. Please also see attached our return to play guidelines that we will be strictly following.

However, we ar...e pleased to advise that we did go ahead with awarding funding and are delighted to announce that Longwarry Recreation Reserve, West Gippsland Hockey Association, 1st Drouin Scout Group, Drouin Bowling Club, St Vincent de Paul Society, Longwarry & District Lions Club Food Relief Program, Warragul Heritage Preservation Association, Lyrebird Village, Longwarry Public Hall and Warragul Athletics Club have all been successful recipients. We are also pleased to announce Baw Baw Food Relief met the challenge set as part of their 2019 grant application. Congratulations and we look forward to celebrating with all of you when such events can run again. We also look forward to seeing how your projects will not only help your groups, but the wider community as we go through this tough time. See more
